But many engineers understand Envoy only as a black-box, hidden by simplifying levels of abstraction. Users will then put those principles to work to understand how to configure Envoy and debug real-world problems.

eBPF (Extended Berkeley Packet Filter) is a revolutionary Linux technology that can run sandboxed programs in an operating system kernel to safely and efficiently extend the capabilities of the kernel without requiring changes to kernel source code or load kernel modules. You will use the open-source BumbleBee project to build, package, and deploy eBPF programs while learning about migrating kernel data structures, debugging BPF code, and advanced patterns for production use cases.
