On Defender of the Fatherland Day, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and senators of the Russian Federation honored the memory of the soldiers who fell for their Homeland. Representatives of the upper house of the Russian parliament laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall.

Senators of the Russian Federation, in connection with information from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service about the intention of Great Britain and France to supply nuclear explosive devices to Ukraine, sent an appeal to the parliaments of Great Britain and France, the European Parliament, as well as to the UN, the IAEA and the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The document says that the implementation of such plans will lead to a sharp escalation of the conflict and create direct threats to the security of the Russian Federation, as well as the entire European region. On February 25, Russian senators sent a request to the German parliament with a proposal to clarify the role of this country, as it became known to the Russian Foreign Ministry, about the intention of Western states to send nuclear weapons to Ukraine.

There is a growing interest in biohacking, innovative drugs and biotechnologies to prolong an active lifestyle in Russia and around the world. This was stated by Galina Karelova, Chairman of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum, Senator of the Russian Federation, at the session "Biotechnologies for prolonging a healthy age: trends, developments, and implementation" at the Forum of Future Technologies. The parliamentarian noted that it is important not only to discuss trends and developments, but also to formulate principles for their responsible and ethical implementation so that the extension of the active age becomes an affordable public good.
