One of the most frequently asked questions about skincare is: How can I reduce acne-prone skin? The answer is given by Dermatologists in Mumbai is regular cleansing with the right products is an important part of a skincare routine for acne-prone skin. It's important to rid your skin of oil and impurities morning and night, otherwise they can clog your pores and become a breeding ground for bacteria. This allows your skin to regenerate naturally and reduces the risk of acne breakouts.

The first step in your skincare routine for acne-prone skin?

Morning cleansing

Cleansing your skin in the morning will help eliminate blemishes and breakouts.

At night, when we sleep, sebum and dead skin cells are deposited on the surface of the skin. This can clog pores and create ideal conditions for acne-prone skin.

The first step in treating acne-prone skin should therefore be gentle cleansing in the morning with cleansing Gel. Products containing salicylic acid are particularly suitable for acne-prone skin. After cleansing your pores in the morning, apply a skincare product specifically for acne-prone skin.

Before bed

Cleansing is important for acne-prone skin

How can cleansing in the evening reduce blemishes and prevent their appearance?

No matter how many times we are told to cleanse our skin before bed, everyone has gone to bed without washing their face, right? However, cleansing at night is especially important for acne-prone skin.

Not removing excess sebum, make-up and other impurities increases the risk of clogged pores at night. Clogged pores can lead to an accumulation of sebum and new pimples. This in turn prevents regeneration and the formation of new skin cells - and thus promotes premature skin ageing. Your skin regenerates itself while you sleep. The nightly regeneration process allows your skin care products or acne drops to take full effect.

Care programmer for acne-prone skin

A thorough cleansing routine in the morning and evening can reduce the risk of skin breakouts.

·        Cleanse your face thoroughly every morning to remove sebum and dead skin cells, and every evening to remove make-up and impurities.

·        Use a gentle micellar water on a cotton pad, followed by a special cleansing foam. Use the cleanser to gently remove oil and bacteria.

·        Apply the cleansing foam for oily skin to the T-zone, nose and chin area and any crevices where sebum may accumulate and leave on for 20-30 seconds. Rinse off the foam with warm (not hot) water. If you use flannel or gauze, make sure they are clean. Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel (not a flannel).

For targeted care of blemished skin, use a soothing mask that deep cleanses pores. Used once or twice a week, the mask ensures an even complexion.

Always use a suitable moisturizer after cleansing.
