How to participate in the TON DNS auction

The Open Network

The TON DNS component assigns a short human-readable name to decentralized services, sites, smart contracts, and network nodes.

To register a .ton domain name, follow these simple steps below:

  • 1. Go to the auction’s site — https://dns.ton.org
  • 2. Enter the domain name you’d like to buy — e.g., user.ton

The name can only have English Latin letters, digits, and hyphens and must be 4–126 characters long.

3. Send a small amount of TON to the address provided from your wallet. In the message section of the transaction, you must indicate the domain name that you’d like to buy — e.g., user.

Please note: Only send Toncoin from wallets you personally control. TON sent from exchanges and bots will be lost forever.

4. If someone places a higher bid than yours, your Toncoin will automatically return to your wallet, but you’ll be able to make a counterbid.

The domain name will go to the user who placed the highest bid.

As a reminder, we’ve included the TON DNS auction rules in this article:

Good luck to all participants!
