How to install user scripts on Android using Bromite

Introduction

For a long time the only viable solution for adding scripts in Android was using ViolentMonkey extension on Kiwi browser. Although it worked fine it wasn't ideal as ViolentMonkey UI was never intended to be used on a mobile screen and I never really liked Kiwi browser in the first place. That's why I never focused much on making scripts for mobile RR.

Bromite on the other hand is a great mobile browser focused on privacy that I have been using for many years. They recently added user script support and although it's an experimental feature it seems to work quite fine. Sadly, it seems that Bromite implementation is not fully compatible with GreaseMonkey/ViolentMonket scripts, so I will need to refactor my mobile scripts and I will probably port some of the PC-only scripts too.

Guide

I will explain how to install rival regions specific scripts but this will work with any website that has scripts compatible with.

• Install Bromite from their website or from their f-droid repo. (It isn't available on the play store!)
• On the three dots menu go to Settings>User Scripts and Activate Users Scripts.
• Download any of my rr scripts from https://rr-tools.eu/mods.
• Install the scripts you want to use from there with + Add script and activate them.

• Go to https://rivalregions.com and test it.
• If it doesn't work at first close every tab and try again.
