NOTE
The following process is called clean flash. It requires an unlocked bootloader. The bootloader has to be unlocked only once.
FYI: GApps are in included in Pixel Experience.

This process will not wipe your internal storage, but it’s good practice to backup any irreplaceable data in case something goes wrong.

STEP 0
Backup your data if you don't want to loose it. Your Internal Storage (Photos, Downloads, etc.) will stay on your phone if you do everything right. A backup does not hurt anyway.
If you already have root access and want to backup your apps with all the app data, Swift Backup is recommended.

STEP 1
Disable your screen lock (!) and download the package you want to install using the link at the top. Also download Firmware .zip in case you haven't flashed it yet or when you don't remember if you have flashed it already.
If you want to have root access on your device, download the latest Magisk file as well and rename it from *.apk to magisk.zip .

STEP 2
Download and flash the latest TWRP Recovery Image!

STEP 3
With the following step you will loose all of your data, except the Internal Storage (Photos, Downloads, etc) if you do it right.
Boot into TWRP Recovery and select wipe. Tap on advanced wipe and select the following options (do not select internal storage if you want to keep it):

✔ Dalvik / ART Cache
✔ Cache
✔ System
✔ Vendor
✔ Data

Swipe to Wipe

STEP 3.1 (optional)

At this point you could take the chance and format your data partition back to EXT4 if you have changed it to F2FS before. This would wipe everything (+ internal storage). If you don't understand this, just ignore it and go on.

STEP 4
Go back to TWRPs main menu and go to Install. Now select the the downloaded files from Step 1 in the following order:
- Firmware Zip (optional)
- Pixel Experience Zip
- Magisk Zip from Step 1 (optional)
You can add multiple files to the installation queue by tapping on Add More Zips.

Swipe to confirm flash

DONE
Now you are done. After flashing, you device should be able to boot into Pixel Experience. If TWRP tells you that you have "No OS installed", just go ahead, that's normal at the first time.

Please do never restore any system apps/parts from any backup on any ROM as it is a major source of error
