Relatively recently, access to information about competitors' advertising was limited. You could “peep” other people’s ideas by using specialized paid services. But even these programs did not always provide the full picture. That is, until Google outsmarted everyone and launched the Ad Transparency Center.


How to see ads from other advertisers

To get an idea of the ads that other webmasters are running, go to the Ad Transparency Center and enter the query you are interested in in the search bar.


You can choose:

  • GEO;
  • advertising period,
  • format (graphic, text, video or all at once).


In addition, you can do it even simpler. Enter the product or manufacturer/advertiser you are interested in into the Google search bar. When the search engine returns results, click on the “hamburger” icon (three dots next to the URL) next to the advertisements.


You'll see a window with advertiser details and a few other features. Specifically, “View other ads from this advertiser.” Once you click this button, you will be redirected to the Ad Transparency Center.


Instead of conclusions

Open advertiser data is the result of advertising platforms' efforts to increase user trust in advertisements. This data can be seen not only by customers, but also by competitors. Long live transparent healthy competition!


The other side of the coin: competitors can also see your ads. Not only do you see others' information, but they do too.


Please note that the Ad Transparency Center only shows ads from advertisers that have been verified by Google. Therefore, information about all of your competitors may not be available.
