One of the advantages, among many others, of owning a terminal with Android as an operating system is having one of the largest, most complete and useful application stores that contain what we know as digital content. We are talking about Google Play Store, the store that has around a million and a half applications hosted in its catalog, both free and paid and without other content such as music, movies, Opjee, and books.

In the case of acquiring applications, many of you who are newer in the ecosystem will not know how to return applications after making the payment and what are the conditions that Google applies with their store. Therefore, we proceed to detail for everyone how to make a refund and not lose money in the event of not being satisfied with the purchased product.

How do I get my money back after purchase on Google Play?

It can be done from different devices since it is not limited only to Android. Of course, first, we tell you how to do it since it is the main platform where purchases and downloads are made.

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap the menu icon - three lines on top of each other - and select the My Account option.
  3. Select the purchased app or game you want to return and click Get Refund.
  4. It will ask you for the return confirmation along with the uninstallation of the application, so we press Yes.
  5. Ready! From this moment the application disappears from your terminal and in a matter of seconds your money will be refunded and you will receive a confirmation email.

Android TV

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Select the application you want to return and get a refund .
  3. Select the Get refund option.
  4. Ready! The application disappears from your device and in seconds your money will be reimbursed and you will receive a confirmation email.

Computer

  1. Access the Google Play Store through your preferred web browser.
  2. Click on the cogwheel icon at the top and select the My Account option.
  3. Again, click the menu icon - three points on top of each other - next to the app or game you want to get reimbursed for.
  4. Select Report a problem and I want to request a refund.
  5. Briefly describe the reasons why you want to return and then refund the application. When finished, click Submit.
  6. Ready! The application or game has been returned when it is checked and the return will send you a confirmation email.

Like everything, this also has certain limitations by Google's return policy on Google Play. They are not really too strict either, quite the opposite since we can make the purchase and enjoy the application or game for up to two hours, the Get refund button will be enabled. After that period of time, the button will disappear and will be replaced by the Uninstall button, since we will not be able to make a return and recover our money. In these cases, it is necessary to contact the developer and try to resolve the situation.

Now you know! If you have recently acquired games like Monument Valley or an application like Nova Launcher, you do not have to settle for your bad experience and throw the money away, return it on Google Play and as usual.
