At the present time, some employee benefits for our full-time staff include:. There are various positions that have different start dates and end dates. When we hire a new employee we want them to make a commitment for the full season for their position. Most start dates will be between October 24th and December 15th and finish dates between April 15th and May 10th. Lake Louise cannot hire employees that are just looking to spend their university break or months working at a ski resort. The amount of training and timing of the breaks do not fit with our business goals of providing guests with the best experience possible. It is also very rare that we will be able to accommodate time off for holidays during the season. If you enjoy your time at Lake Louise, there are many opportunities to carry on your employment into the following season. Lake Louise gives preference to internal candidates for all seasonal positions before we start external recruitment. There is certain information that will be asked for upon employment with the Lake Louise Ski Resort. Please ensure that you have all of this information with you when you commence work. The Lake Louise Ski Resort offers free transportation to and from our staff accommodations. There are also complimentary shuttles from Banff with the use of your staff pass but please note that guests are the priority. All staff will complete a number of training programs when they commence work during their one-day orientation program. The two-week pay period ends every second Sunday at midnight. During the summer season, all Lake Louise Ski Resort staff is housed in our main accommodations — Charleston. During the winter season, due to large staffing numbers employees are housed at several different locations. Our staff accommodations in Lake Louise and Great Divide are in a fairly remote location as Banff is 40 minutes away. Lake Louise has several amenities including a grocery store, restaurants, bar and other small local shops. Documents are required prior to your arrival. To secure housing you are required to fill out and email the housing application to the Housing office. Please remember that this form is an application, this does not guarantee you a place in staff accommodation until you hear back from the Housing department with confirmation. Upon arrival in Lake Louise, make your way to the Housing office for check in. All entry level positions are assigned shared accommodations. Eligibility for single room and couple rooms will depend on tenure, job position and room type availability. Charleston Residence is located in the village of Lake Louise, approximately a five minute drive 3km from the ski hill. The Common Room is a space for residents to use the pool table, table tennis, darts and Satellite television. Basketballs, tennis racquets, volleyballs, hockey sticks, and board games are available to borrow from the housing office. Each unit is equipped with a small kitchen and appliances. The co-op also provides some grocery items as well as your basic day-to-day needs. It is located on the main floor of the Charleston Residence. Wireless internet is available throughout Charleston and you can register at the housing office or online. There are times during the season that you can expect to receive a reduction in hours, but with good planning you can take full advantage of these opportunities to train, take a course or do some sightseeing! This tour was perfect for my husband and did not disappoint! We had arrived in Banff the night before and this tour gave us quick access to all the places we wanted to see. No history of Fairmont Hotel, why Lake Louise is called Louise, that there are ice sculptures in winter. When I spoke to him about this, he said he had to conserve his voice, since he had laryngitis a few weeks ago, from all the talking, and could not speak for a week.
