Yes thats it,, go up there with no alerts, same thing happens I think the trick was to go straight up the ladder and don't stop until you're at the top. I'm doing the Authentic mode now for the campaign, and even though I've killed every single enemy on the map before going to the scaffolding for the cutscene, as soon as it starts, the officers draws his pistol, and boom.. But that should not alert the officer s since that's even an optional objective. I've had no problem with it in the other three modes doing it this way, or even way more loud and messy, leaving bodies everywhere and such, triggering alerts, having all out shootouts and what not. I know what to do, did the multiple accidental death options too, I know where every guy in the map is by now and how to take them all out silently, but now suddenly on authentic, of course the one mode that does not allow you to save, it has happened twice in a row And since I went full stealth, you can imagine that's quite a few hours of gameplay just to have the game fart in your face, basically. Dare I start again just to have it repeat itself? If it's not a bug, I'm eager to know why this happens. At lowest level it works. I've gone back to that level, as also things like unexpected iron sights and touchy 3rd button, etc. I do enjoy the lowest level campaign though, at my age a good challenge. Lhynn View Profile View Posts. Just had this happen to me and then remembered that this is actually not a bug. In order for the mission NOT to fail you need to look through the binoculars at the officer's HANDS and not the face or general shape in order to identify the one with the injured hand. In lower difficulties, you can ID him from a long distance; in higher ones, you need to wait till all 3 officers gather near the bottom ladder and then ID the injured one. As soon as you do that, the mission log is updated and the mission won't fail. It fails only if you don't identify the right officer before they split and walk away.
