Also the bed was very comfy. The Plettenberg is a 5-star hotel, located on a rocky headland in the heart of The Garden Route. Location is incredible, the views are breathtaking. Staff so friendly and welcoming, they make every effort to go above and beyond for their guests. They make you feel like part of the Plettenberg Bay family. The car park has attendance around the clock. The staff are very knowledgeable of the area and make recommendations for days out and nice restaurants to visit they arrange drivers to taxi you if required. The hotel is beautifully decorated very tasteful and relaxing. Hotel manager made herself known to assist with anything you needed which is a very nice touch. Excellent breakfast and the best Caesar salad ever. The rooms are beautiful beds so cosy and nice quality linen. In room mini bar is well stocked and FOC. I previously gave a 5-star rating to The Plettenberg Hotel but neglected to compliment Xabiso and Ntsika who were the most gracious and excellent waiters we have ever had. Thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed the Elephant Sanctuary and Birds of Eden. The elephant sanctuary is a great place to learn about elephants before you go on safari and the staff is great. Robberg Nature Reserve is the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen, another must see. Nice town centre with a few good places to drink a coffee. The Fat fish is a good restaurant but is not on the main street. The Newstead Winery, about 30 minutes drive from Plettenberg Bay is worth a visit for a small lunch and excellent wine. Plet is a magical place with spectacular beaches, views and marine animals visible from the beach or boat trip. Resturants were excellent. Walks on the beaches with soft sand and crashing waves were something special, as was boogie boarding and surfing at Middle beach. Too much choice of things to do. What is not to love about Plett, gorgeous beaches, amazing mountain biking and hiking trails, beautiful lagoon for water sports, river for boat cruises and amazing restaurants and perfect weather. Having travelled all over the world its one of my favourite beach locations and ticks all the boxes. We keep coming back!!!! Only recommend for halal visitors to rather stay in self catering accommodation. Beautiful views and stunning hikes. Safe and beautiful. Not much places to eat at all. It is an accessible and a nice place to visit and explore for adventurous. It needs a longer stay. Many places to eat and have an attractive goose golf club closer to accommodation. Avoid driving on sunset. Em and Mike were lovely. They were always checking in to make sure everything was going well and giving me recommendations on where to go and what to see - trust their recommendations. They even took me to a nice spot on the beach for dinner one night which felt like family. I felt very safe in this little neighborhood and was close to everything I needed. Plett was my favorite stop on the garden route and was so glad I stayed here. What an amazing brewery, restaurant and small boutique hotel , all new and clean!! The brewery is a worth a definite visit , the Restaurant is also nice and has different selection of food. Lovely big fireplace in the Restaurant, perfect for a cold wet day. Anelle was an absolute pleasure to deal with , and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The view of the bay is fantastic, 20 minute walk to downtown although I wouldn't recommend walking there at night. The hotel has more of a 'guest house' feel, staff are very accommodating. Unlike other reviews, no noise from traffic could be heard. Great restaurant service, nice little bar and the best staff you can wish for. Nice spacious rooms. We had two wonderful dinners in Lairds Lodge with beautiful wine from the wine cellar. We loved this beachfront hotel. We had the family room in the garden and it was exactly what we needed: A spacious comfortable room with the beach a step away. Breakfast is delicious and we could enjoy the wonderful view every morning. Superb self catering apartment in a quiet street but in a central location. Warm and welcoming hosts. The owners are amazing. Establishment is situated right at the heart of Plettenberg bay. Views of the sea from this hotel were amazing. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The location is great with fantastic views from the rooms and deck. The quirky decor in the rooms makes for a refreshing change from normal commercial hotels.
