How to add tokens and generate liquidity in the Polygon network
Transfer tokens to the Polygon network via a bridge
To add liquidity to the Polygon network, first of all you need to transfer the necessary tokens to this network.
➡️ The first method, the easiest: send the necessary tokens from a centralized exchange in the correct network to your address.
➡️ If you want to work exclusively in a decentralized network, while you have stablecoins, for example, in the BEP-20 network, then you will need a bridge: https://cbridge.celer.network/56/137/USDC
- Add liquidity across the bridge
- Select the network from which you will transfer tokens (1).
- Specify the number of tokens (2).
- Select the token to convert to another network. In our case, we will convert USDC BEP-20 to USDC Polygon (3).
- Select the network where you need to receive tokens (4).
- Click Transfer (5).
Next, you will need to sign the transaction, after which you will lose tokens in the BEP-20 network and appear in the Polygon network.
Form liquidity in the Polygon network
After tokens you need appear on your wallet, you will be able to generate liquidity on the page https://nomiswap.io/liquidity?chain=matic
- Click the "Add Liquidity" button.
- We analyze the example of the USDC-USDT pair, so: at the top, specify the USDC token (1).
- At the bottom, select the USDT token (2).
Then select the amount you want to add on one of the tokens, and the pool will automatically calculate the required amount of the second asset.
In our example, we specified 1000 USDT (3) and the system automatically calculated that to add 1000 USDT to the pool, we would also need 1860 USDC.
- After that, add assets to the pool (using the interface buttons just below).
- Sign all transactions in the wallet.
As soon as you complete these steps, LP tokens will appear on your wallet - this is your generated liquidity.
Now all you have to do is start farming with your LP tokens on the Polygon network
- Go to the page https://nomiswap.io/farms?chain=matic
- Choose the USDC-USDT pool;
- Click Details;
- Press the "Enable farm" button.
- Add your LP tokens to the farming of the USDC-USDT pair.
That's it, now you farm using LP tokens USDC-USDT in the polygon network!
