Schoology's integration to Microsoft Teams gives teachers and students an easy way for them to collaborate via Teams meetings within Schoology. www.office.com/setup downloading product key

This integration contains the following features:

  • You can share audio, video and slides in real-time. Chat with others.
  • Teachers can host live audio or video conferences with up 250 participants.
  • Schools and organizations can offer a high-quality learning environment to students from remote locations.

You can download the Teams Meeting app for your courses and groups via the Schoology App Center. System administrators can also install the app to all courses and groups.

Download the app

The Schoology App Center allows instructors to install Microsoft Teams Meeting directly to any course or group they manage. Administrators can install the app to all courses and groups within their organization.

System Administrator installation guide

To install the app at district level:

  • Click App Center icon App_Center in the top right corner of Schoology. Then click App Center.
  • Click the title to open the Teams Meeting app. It is available here.
  • Click on Install App.
  • To continue the installation, click on I Agree.
  • Select the Add to Organization option to add the app in your school or organization. www.office.com/myaccount login

Note - You can also download the app to specific schools. More information is available here.

  • To continue the installation, you will be directed to Organization Apps.
  • To the right of the app title, click Install/Remove.
  • Choose the option to install the app for All Courses or All Groups.
  • Only select Course admins and/or Group administrators.

Note Admins should only have access to the app. The app should not be accessible to students.

  • To submit, click Submit.

To install this app at the group or course level:

  • Click on Install App.
  • Choose the course and/or group you wish to attend.
  • Only select Course admins and/or Group administrators.

Set up a Team Meeting

You can create a Team meeting from the app at the top of any course or group or the Rich Text Editor tool at course level.

You can create a Team meeting using the app. It will generate a link for you to copy and paste into a course, group update, calendar event or course material.

When you create a Team meeting using the Rich Text Editor tool it will display the link to the meeting in the description of the course material or calendar event.

The Rich Text Editor tool can be used to create a Team meeting in any of the following areas:

  • Add Event (next to Upcoming).
  • Folder
  • Assignment
  • Discussion
  • Page
  • Take the Quiz

To create a Team meeting, follow the steps below.

Create a Team meeting in a group or course:

  • From the left menu, click Teams Meeting.
  • If this is your first meeting, sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • After logging in, click the Create meeting link.
  • For your meeting, enter a title.
  • Click on Create.
  • Click Copy to save the meeting link that was automatically generated and add it to a course update or calendar event.

Create a Team meeting within a course or event.

  • Click on an Assignment, Discussion or Folder, Test/Quiz Page, Add Event, and then click Insert Content in Rich Text Editor. Select Teams Meeting:
  • If this is your first meeting, sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • Click Create meeting link.
  • For your meeting, enter a title.
  • Click on Create. The description of the course materials automatically displays a link to the Teams meeting.
  • Please complete the following form:

Note - Enter a due date for the item containing the link to the Teams meeting in your course calendar.

  • To complete, click Create

Attend a Team Meeting

To join the Team meeting:

  • Click on the link to meet in Schoology.
  • You have two options: you can access the meeting via the Microsoft Teams desktop app, or by using a web browser.
  • Open Microsoft Teams prompt if you have the desktop application

You can also click Continue to open the browser and join the meeting from a different tab.

Note Sign in to Microsoft Team in a different browser tab or desktop app before you join a meeting.

  • It is possible that you will be asked to grant access to your microphone or camera. Click Allow.
  • To join the meeting, click Join Now

Join a Team meeting using a tablet or mobile device:

  • Sign in to your Microsoft Teams account by downloading the Microsoft Teams app for your mobile device.
  • Click on the link for Teams meetings in the Schoology App.
  • The Microsoft Teams app will be opened on your phone. To join the meeting, click Join Now.

You can also access Schoology via your mobile browser. To launch Microsoft Teams, click the Teams meeting link within Schoology and join the meeting. office.com/setup installation key
