How to Use SpookySwap From Your Own Wallet
SpookySwap lets you swap tokens from your own wallet on four documented networks. You choose the network, fund your wallet, and approve each transaction yourself.
Pools Set Prices on Each Network
A liquidity pool is a shared supply of two tokens that traders swap against. Think of two jars: as traders take more from one jar, the price changes. There is no need to wait for someone to accept your order.
The documented deployments are on four networks. Each has its own tokens and pools, so check the network before choosing a trade:
- Sonic
- Fantom Opera
- BitTorrent Chain
- Horizen EON
Pool depth matters as much as the displayed fee. A small pool can give a worse price when your trade changes its token balance.
A Swap Starts With the Right Network
Start with tokens and network fee currency in your wallet on the same network. On Sonic, that fee currency is S; on Fantom Opera, it is FTM.
Choose the network and token pair you want to trade. Check that the pair has enough liquidity for your amount, since a thin pool can sharply reduce what you receive.
Move your tokens to your wallet on that network. If they are on another network, a bridge transfers them between networks; check its supported route and destination token before sending.
Verify the token’s contract address, its unique identifier on that network. Tokens can share a name while having different addresses, and anyone can create a pool for an imitation token.
Set your wallet to the chosen network and keep some fee currency unspent. Then open SpookySwap and connect your wallet; SpookySwap on Sonic draws its quotes from Sonic pools.
Select the tokens, enter an amount, and read the quote. Check the expected output, price impact, network fee, and minimum received amount. V3 pool fees range from 0.01% to 1%, depending on the pool used.
Approve token spending if your wallet requests it. This permits the swap contract to use that token and may require a separate transaction with its own network fee.
Confirm the swap only if the minimum received amount suits you. Slippage is the price movement you allow after the quote; at 0.5%, a larger move makes the swap fail. Once confirmed, the received token goes to your wallet.
Liquidity and BOO Rewards Are Separate Choices
Providing liquidity means supplying tokens for other people’s swaps and earning a share of pool fees. SpookySwap V3 also offers farms for some positions, while BOO staking is a separate way to earn from trading activity.
Choose a pool, fee tier, and price range before adding liquidity. A V3 position earns swap fees only while the market price stays within your range. A narrower range needs closer attention because it can end up holding just one token.
Add the required tokens through New Position, then review and confirm the deposit in your wallet. Fees you earn are available to collect; they are not automatically added to your position.
Deposit an eligible position in a V3 farm only after checking its reward token and terms. Farming adds rewards to pool fees, but the documented V3 farms reduce rewards if you unstake within 72 hours.
Stake BOO separately if you want xBOO, a token recording your share of the BOO staking pool. Keep the xBOO: you need it to redeem your BOO.
To leave a farm, unstake its position before withdrawing liquidity. Before any trade or deposit, ask yourself: does the likely return cover the fees and the risk of holding these tokens?
