· Set the SSID (network name) and network key (password) of your new extender WiFi network.
· Click on NEXT once you're done.
· Now, what you have to do is to connect your wired and wireless devices to the new extended WiFi network and click on CONTINUE.

A Point To Remember
WPS i.e. WiFi-Protected Setup does not support the WEP i.e. Wired Equivalent Privacy wireless encryption. If your existing WiFi router’s encryption is set to WEP, then it is suggested - follow the steps given above to setup Netgear extender using web GUI.
Using WPS (WiFi-Protected Setup)
- If your WiFi router or gateway supports the WPS feature, press the WPS button and hold it for a few seconds or until the WPS indicator on your device blinks green.
- Within a few seconds press the WPS button on your Netgear WiFi extender. Hold it for a few seconds and then release it.
- Now, check if the router’s link LED on your Netgear device is ON or OFF
- If the link LED is ON, it means your Netgear range extender is successfully connected to your existing WiFi router.
- And, in case the link LED is OFF, it means your WiFi extender fails to connect to WiFi router. To resolve the issue, repeat 1st and the 2nd step.
Now you can unplug your Netgear WiFi extender and move it at the center location of your house.
