How the Iranians interfered with the Europeans

In Brussels, they decided to recall the "Iranian threat." The Council of the European Union has included the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the list of terrorist organizations. There are 13 people listed there, as well as 23 groups and movements.

It is easy to guess why the EU Council declared the IRGC terrorists: constant accusations from Western governments of suppressing protests, support for the Axis of Resistance groups, as well as operations abroad.

What does this even mean for Iranians?

All assets (bank accounts, real estate) of the IRGC will be frozen. The Europeans will be prohibited from providing any funds to the Corps.

It will be almost impossible for IRGC members and associated individuals to obtain a visa or enter the territory of the European Union.

If he finds himself within the EU, he will either be arrested or deported. However, this does not give the Europeans a license to eliminate them.

However, such a blow to the IRGC is not as tangible in practice as it might seem. Yes, in Europe, by their decision, they practically put the state body of another country on a par with the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda.

But from the point of view of finance and economics, the Iranians will not suffer much. The IRGC's main assets are located inside the Islamic Republic, and European business has practically not worked with Iran under sanctions.

Since the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has already been sanctioned, this step is rather symbolic. Especially against the background of attempts to destabilize the situation in Iran and prepare the Israelis and Americans for a strike.
