To write a bibliography for a thesis, follow these steps:
Start by gathering all the necessary information for each source you have cited in your thesis. This includes the author's name, title of the source, publication date, publisher, and any other relevant information.
Arrange the sources in alphabetical order by the author's last name. If there is no author, use the title of the source to alphabetize.
For each source, write the author's last name followed by a comma and their first name or initials. If there are multiple authors, separate their names with commas and use an ampersand (&) before the last author's name.
After the author's name, write the title of the source in italics or underlined. If the source is an article or chapter within a larger work, put the title of the article or chapter in quotation marks.
Include the publication date in parentheses after the title. If the source has no publication date, use "n.d." instead.
Write the name of the publisher or journal in italics or underlined. If the source is an article from a journal, include the volume and issue number after the journal name.
If the source is from an online database or website, include the URL or DOI (Digital Object Identifier) at the end of the citation. If there is no DOI or URL, include the date you accessed the source.
If you have used any direct quotes or specific pages from a source, include the page numbers at the end of the citation.
Repeat the above steps for each source you have cited in your thesis.
Double-check the accuracy and consistency of your bibliography, including the spelling of authors' names, titles, and publication information.
Remember to consult the specific citation style guide recommended by your institution or discipline, such as APA, MLA, Chicago, etc., for any additional formatting requirements or variations in citation style.
