Most of us at one time or another have had trouble figuring out whether or not a man likes us? Pay attention because sometimes the signals delivered aren’t straight forward obvious. Some men send subconscious signals he’s into you that can easily be overlooked.
Worse yet, this guy might just not be ready to tell you what he’s feeling openly, and it’s his body signs that are going to give you the information you need to figure out if he likes you or not.
NEWSFLASH – You might need to do a little detective work on the run.
So if you just don’t know whether a man wants to get out of the friend zone or not, you are best to try and decode what his body language is telling you.
More often than not, a man is going to face his shoulders, face and chest toward you if he’s interest. If his feet are both pointed toward you, even better.
That he intrinsically shows you he is giving you attention in a discreet manner and he doesn’t want you to notice too much that he’s seriously checking you out.
When a guy leans in toward you, that’s even better.
However, if he is facing away from you, that’s a clear-cut signal he probably isn’t interested and you are best to take that one running.
When a guy is standing in your personal space, closer than an arms length away, he’s trying to find a deeper intimate connection with you.
Essentially, the closer the better if you are looking for subtle signs a guy really does like you.
Normally, we smile at people whether we are interested or not. What you need to notice is if a man is smiling a lot at you, then he’s most likely trying to let you know he likes you.
To what degree only time will tell, but you could take that as a subtle sign he wants to be more than just buddies with you.
Eyes really are the key to the soul and when a man is locking eyes with you that’s a fantastic signal he likes you on more than a friend level. Experts say if he is blinking lots when looking at you, then he wants to know more about you.
A little deeper yet, if his pupils are dilated when he is looking at you, then it also means he’s interested.
Beware – If he isn’t looking at you at all, it’s because he is either intimidated by you or not interested.
If a man is interested in you at least a little, he will unconsciously raise his eyebrows a little. This is a tough one to spot so you really do need to pay close attention.
When a guy is doing this, he likes what he sees and would really like to get to know you better.
This unconscious act opens up his face and relaxes it so he can invite you right in.
When a man talks a lot with his hands, it usually means he’s comfy around you and wants to openly communicate with you better.
When combined with other subtle hints, you’re on the right track.
First, he needs to make eye contact with you and if he does this successfully and tilts his head ever so slightly to the side, that’s your invitation to come on over and start talking.
If this happens when you are already talking, it just means you’ve peaked his curiosity and he wants to know more.
When a guy reaches toward you with an open hand, his palm facing toward the sky, this is a clearcut signal he really does like you. When a man holds his palms down, he is closed and less likely to want to know you better, at least on a romantic level.
When a guy just likes to touch you, he’s either a naturally touchy person or he wants to be more than friends with you. This is a subtle yet safe way to let you know he is paying attention and hopes you will return the favor.
If he’s touching your arm, face or hair, then he is totally into you!
When a guy is really interested in you, he’s going to do just about anything to get your attention. Even if he has to crack a lame joke, he’s going to give it a shot.
All he’s doing is looking for a reaction from you and if you are laughing or smiling, he’s going to gain the confidence he needs to keep the ball rolling.
This man wants you to know your opinion matters and that’s magical in my books.
If a man is interested in a girl, he is going to unconsciously mirror her actions. He’s not trying to mimic you but rather get comfortable on an internal level with communicating with you.
This one might not make sense off the hop but in the end it will, so just recognize and go with it please.
If you want to get a little crazy, you can lean toward him, touch his chest or arm and see if he copies your actions. When he does, you know he is interested in you.
When a girl isn’t paying attention, a man that likes you is going to stare and then try and look away at the last second.
He wants you to know he was staring but does not want to creep you out or make it crazy obvious he’s checking you out.
You should be flattered by this one.
Normally, men are a little anxious or nervous around a girl they like. Men that like a girl might unknowingly groom themselves to try and make sure they look good.
*Maybe he will brush his hair to the side?
*Perhaps he’s going to tuck his shirt in or straighten his tie?
If he seems to blush around you and act a little self-conscious when you’re in the room, then he’s got all eyes on you and just hasn’t got the confidence to tell you just yet.
Be very wary here because if a man is constantly scratching his head or hair, it might mean the exact opposite – That he just doesn’t want to get to know you better.
When a guy is stroking his chin or nose when you are speaking, it means he is paying attention and is extremely interested in what you have to say.
Good listeners are magical in any relationship, just saying.
It’s pretty easy to spot a man that’s interested in you when he is treating you differently than the rest of the people in the group.
Not saying he’s going to put you up on a pedestal just yet, but you are well on your way.
All this says is that he recognizes you and wants your undivided attention, he wants you to feel special in a good way.
An awesome sign that a man is interested in a girl.
If a man is really into a girl when you walk in the room, he is going to unconsciously change his behavior. Maybe he is just goofing around with his buddies but when you pop in, he seems to change his tune on a dime.
It’s his way of communicating to you that he likes you and wants to get to know you better. He wants to impress you without embarrassing himself so make sure you help him out please.
When a man is attracted to a girl, this triggers that emotional connection need to kick in. And licking the lips is one clear sign a man likes a woman.
He might just touch his lips repeatedly or he might take a few more sips of his beer than normal. A tough signal to gauge but if you know about it, you will spot it.
When a man keeps changing his posture around you, it’s a sign he likes you. What this does is show you his manly strength and masculine manner while hiding his insecurity.
He wants to show you he can provide for you, protect and guard you, without actually committing.
If you see this, the man in front of you really does like you.
When a guy is fidgeting and putting his hands in his pockets and around his belt loops, this is a super clear sign he is interested in you.
Maybe he is unconsciously trying to draw attention to his private area? Something to think about in the least.
When a guy is willing to open the door, walk on the outside of the street, and offering to pull your chair out, he’s doing his best to show you that he likes you.
If he’s giving you his coat on a chilly day, you’ve got a winner.
What he’s doing is making an effort to let you know that he thinks you are special and deserve to be treated well.
You’re a lucky gal if this is the case.
*A man that is interested in letting you know that he likes you is going to laugh at what you say, whether it’s funny or not.
*A guy that likes you is going to show off as much as he can when it comes to sports.
* When a guy likes a girl, he won’t flinch an inch when she touches him.
* If a man likes a girl, he’s going to have a constant alert expressions plastered on his face.
* When a man likes a woman, the electronic devices get buried fast.
* Guys that like a girl are going to naturally be in protective mode regardless.
* If a man likes you, he is going to cringe or at least give you a reaction when another man is trying to talk with you.
* There’s a bit of a hesitation when saying good-bye if a man wants to get to know you better.
* Rudeness seems to disappear when a guy really likes a girl. The manners are present in full force always.
* Outside distractions don’t seem to phase a man at all when he is interested in a girl.
* When a man isn’t afraid to dance in front of you, there’s no doubt he’s putting it all out there to let you know he likes you.
* If a guy matches your pace, that’s a subtle sign he wants to get to know you a little better.
When you are trying to figure out whether or not a man is interested in you it’s important that you take everything into consideration, and that includes subtle hints. When a guy is giving a gal unconscious signals he likes her, it really doesn’t get much better than that.
What you need to do is stay open and positive and when you recognize these subtle hints, you need to act on them fast and you will get what you want.
10 Reasons Southern Guys Make The Best Boyfriends
By Amanda Chatel — Written on Nov 29, 2013
Studies have found that Americans LOVE accents . Although the British accent comes in first for most accent-adoring folks, when it comes to accents here in the United States, it's the southern drawl that's winning fans left and right, according to a brand new study from Cupid.com .
If it's the southern accent that's most desirable, do southern men live up to their charm in other ways, too? Why, yes, they do. They don't call them "southern gentlemen" for nothing.
Between crowdsourcing, research, and some insight from North Carolina-born New York City writer, Lilit Marcus, we've got it all figured out for you.
So, why do southern guys make the best boyfriends?
1. They Have Great Manners This isn't to say that Yankee boys don't, but southerners, as a whole, are known for having some swoon-worthy manners, from using polite words to holding doors open. Just think of Rhett in Gone with the Wind.
2. Their Choice Of Words Is Pretty Damn Cute As Marcus points out, "'Beau' is much sexier than ' boyfriend ,'" and who doesn't want to be called "darlin'?" And in their sing-song tone? Yes, please.
3. They Don't Play Games "Like, you kiss a dude and he's your boyfriend, no need to have a lot of 'so, where is this going?' conversations," says Marcus.
4. They're Great Cooks This one seems to be especially true for those who have a deep appreciate of fried food. Who doesn't love fried green tomatoes?
5. They Tend To Be Close To Their Family Any guy who has a great relationship with his family, especially his mom, is definitely a catch.
6. They Respect Women Although sometimes that can border on "annoying putting-of-ladies-on-pedestals stuff," explains Marcus, I think most of us can agree that's way better than not being respected at all.
7. They're A Proud People While northerners are definitely stoked to be Yankees, there's nothing quite like southern pride.
8. They'll Introduce You To Grits Never had grits? If we've learned anything from John Grisham and My Cousin Vinny , it's that grits are a southern staple and specialty, and definitely something you should probably get hooked on. Now.
9. They Wear Seersucker Greatest. Fabric. Ever.
10. They Take Their Time Compared to their northern counterparts, southern men literally take time to smell the flowers. If this is the case, and they really do like to take their time, just think about how much your sex life will benefit from this way of life.

She's as pretty as a peach. They're as pretty as a pitcher. (aka: "Pretty as a picture" with a Southern drawl) He's a tall drink of iced tea . They're as happy as clams at high tide. She's as smart as all get out. They're finer than frogs' hair split four ways. She's got gumption. They're sweeter than cherry pie . They're like two peas in a pod. He's as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine. They go together like peas and carrots. She's got more style than Carter's got little pills. (Or liver pills or little liver pills, depending on the era)

Have You Heard These Southern Compliments?

Southerners know a thing or two about compliments. We like to give them, and we sure do like to receive them, though we'd never admit it. For us, though, a phrase like "you look nice today" simply won't do. You're much more likely to hear "you're as pretty as a peach in June" from a Southerner offering a compliment. And if you encounter a Southerner, you're almost sure to receive a compliment . Compliments aren't reserved solely for friends and family. They're to be doled out to strangers near and far, on the sidewalk, in the checkout line at the grocery store, and everywhere in between. It's all about spreading a little joy.
Southerners know how to take a compliment up a few notches with some regional style and by utilizing more than a few nods to our favorite local produce. Yes, produce. (Have you seen a peach ? It sure is pretty, hence the compliment.) We've also included a few distinctly Southern digs, because it couldn't be truer: Southerners call them like we see them. These compliments and lighthearted digs have Southern flair aplenty.
And let's not forget: A few not-so-complimentary phrases with a distinctly Southern flair. She's as wild as a June bug on a string. That dog won't hunt. She's madder than a wet hen. He looks like he's worn slap out. He's actin' too big for his britches. She's gotten her feathers ruffled. They're slower than molasses in winter. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. He's as crooked as a barrel of snakes. She's as jumpy as a cat on a hot tin roof. He's actin' like a bump on a log.
