How do I change my ip address?

- - #24

Technically, it's possible. But: -If your provider wants to change your public Internet Protocol, they will make you pay. -Your local IP address must begin with "192.168." If you want to change the last number you have to change it in the router settings (But i highly advice you not to do that if you don't know exactly what you do!)

Ok, I'll take it to my dad to see if that helps.

I can't get command blocks to work. Any ideas?

- - #28

Did you set "enable-command-block=true" in your config (if it doesn't exist just add it)? They are now functional. If the problem persists, try reinstalling your map.

Yes, I did. I tried three different maps, but none of them worked. I also tried one that used existing command blocks.

Can you post your whole server.properties file? (please use a site like http://pastebin.com/) Also did you made any changes to the server other than in the tutorial?

You can open it using a text editor. If you are on windows: 1. Right-click on the file 2. Select "Open with.." Search for "Editor".

After all the above steps, when i try and run the world, it appears it skips loading the map. Instead it says "done!" My minecraft error message when I try to join the world after the above steps says: failed to connect: java.io.IOException. server returned HTTP response code 503 URL: I have no idea what's wrong. I have also tried to reinstall the whole thing three times and got the same error. Please help me. This map was supposed to be played with some friends this evening.

EDIT: For some reason, it seems like I can't post the URL.

It seems like minecraft could not connect to the minecraft.net Server. Change the online-mode=true to "online mode=false" in your config. You can also load a map in singleplayer. Then, open a network server from the Pause screen.
