How To Outsmart Your Boss On Twilight Princess

How To Outsmart Your Boss On Twilight Princess

Twilight Princess Game Review

The most sombre and dark of the Nintendo 3D Zelda games, Twilight Princess pushes the limits of graphical presentation to its limit on the Wii's hardware. It's more tense and ambiguous than The Wind Waker, with a lack of bugs-eyed pig guards or edgy pirates.

Link is attracted to a parallel dimension known as Twilight Realm where he takes on the form of both the form of a Hylian Wolf and the form of a Hylian while being guided Midna.

Gameplay

The thirteenth installment of The Legend of Zelda is Twilight Princess. It was released in 2006 for the Nintendo GameCube system and Wii. The game was highly praised by critics, and received perfect scores from a variety of publications, including 1UP, CVG, EGM and GamesRadar. Many consider it to be the most enjoyable game in the series and the most viewed Zelda title on the PAL market.

Twilight princess has a stylized and naturalistic graphics style that is like that of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, with a much more advanced graphic engine. Twilight princess is the first game in the series to feature a fully directional movement control system, instead of a fixed view like the previous games. This modification was made to accommodate the Wii console, which features an interface based on pointing. The GameCube version of the game features a section in the back that contains mirror-image maps to those who prefer a fixed view.

Link transforms into a wolf once he enters the Twilight Realm. He also meets Midna, a mysterious creature. She reveals that the kingdom of Hyrule has been taken by a group of shadow beasts led by the evil sorcerer Zant. She further explains that she is the true ruler of Twili however, she was supplanted and cursed to her current form by Zant.

When Link and Midna arrive at Hyrule Castle, a short cut scene shows the soldiers there being killed by the shadow beasts. Link and Midna then escape the castle via an entrance tunnel to enter the Twilight Realm.

Link can move more freely around the world in the Twilight Realm by using his wolf form. He can also use his senses to navigate around the world. For instance, he could sense the spirits of dead soldiers and other animals in the distance. He can also whistle and pull grass from certain patches to summon an animal, such as an Hawk, Epona or other. Or, Link can howl near these patches to summon the same animal.

As with earlier Zelda games music plays a significant part in Twilight Princess. Link can play instruments that are musical like the flute or the harp, to attract and call upon different animals. Link can also use his voice to command the wolf form. Additionally, he could use his compass to guide him through the world and stay out of trouble.

Characters

The Legend of Zelda series is full of vibrant characters that leave an unforgettable impression on players. These unique and imaginative characters such as hands emerging from toilets to pirates soaring across vast oceans, are the essence of this game. Twilight Princess continues in the tradition of previous games, introducing an array of memorable characters.

Link is introduced to new NPCs throughout the story who are not only interesting but also credible. It's a huge step towards the right direction that many of these NPCs actually have a role in the story instead of just acting as victims. NPCs such as Rusl who explains that the forest is dangerous now and kidnaps kids as well as the Ordon villager who disguises himself as a wolf when the kids are kidnapped all have unique personalities.

Other notable characters include Iza who runs the Boat Rental Cabin in Lanayru Province and Iza's rapid ride, Louise Telma’s cat, who helps Wolf Link find a secret passageway into the castle through her bar and sewer system, and Faron whose spirit guides Link to the Forest Temple in Eldin Province. The two team members defeat Diababa's Fused Shadow and obtains the first Tear Of Light.

Midna is the princess of the Twilight Realm and one of the most intriguing characters in the game. She has a sliver of the Triforce of Wisdom and can change between her human as well as her wolf-like form. She is friends with Link and informs him of her adventures in the twilight realm and how she defeated Zant the King of Twilight.

Zant is the evil sorcerer that rules the Twilight Realm. He possesses the second half of the Triforce of Wisdom. The goddesses relegated him to the Twilight Realm for enslaving their people and taking over their land. Zant's magic enables him to remain in wolf form, however Midna removes the power and allows him to transform into his human form when needed.

Epona is a better horse that can be ridden in both the wolf and Hylian forms. Link can whistle at specific grass patches in order to call the animal. (similar to Majora's Mask). Twilight Princess is the first game in the series where the player can identify their horse.

Theme

Music is among the most important parts of any Zelda game and can make the world feel expansive exciting, epic, and thrilling. Twilight Princess' soundtrack is criticised for being inconsistent and sporadic and doesn't convey certain moments of emotion. Contrarily, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are enthralling soundtracks that explode at precisely the right time to create a feeling of majestic and eerie.

Toru Minegishi and Asuka Ohta were the composers for the sound design and music in Twilight Princess, with Koji Kondo overseeing the series's composers for the first time since Wind Waker. The soundtrack for Twilight Princess is a bold departure from the standard approach to the franchise, with an approach that is minimalist in terms of music and arrangement. The majority of dungeon and field music starts with a single instrumental, creating a mysterious and atmospheric ambiance for the player. For example, the haunting music of Midna's lament makes use of an ordinary piano to create an overflowing sense of sorrow for the player.

Dungeon themes are the most well-known examples of this trend towards minimalism, with numerous Dungeons displaying a dark and ominous atmosphere. This is evident in Twilight Realm, which has an unsettling soundscape that could be found in the soundtrack of a David Lynch movie. The lack of melody and the traditional arrangement of this track emphasizes its ominous, unsettling nature. Drones and bizarre patterns collide to create a bleak texture.

A more upbeat and joyful track is Link's hometown theme, "Faron Woods." The song makes use of a variety of strings and soft sounds to create a peaceful and safe feeling for the player. The song also has subtle references to the franchise's most infamous scene, with the riff which is similar to the iconic tune that plays at the start of Ocarina of Time.

There are also some exciting songs in Twilight Princess that change depending on the location of the player, what they are doing, and what's going on. Hyrule Castle Town has different versions of its theme for each region of the town. Central Square, for instance, has an edgier version. These variations add a nice touch to the world of Hyrule and add a sense of immersion and depth.

Story

Link's mission in Twilight Princess is to save Hyrule from the corrupted parallel world known as the Twilight Realm. To achieve this, Link adopts the form of the Hylian, the form of a Wolf and is assisted by a woman named Midna.

Midna was the first ruler of Twili but she was supplanted and cursed by Zant into her imp form. Link and Midna are informed by the Sages of the Old Testament that only by defeating Ganondorf will be in a position to release them from their curse. The Sages then reveal that the Mirror of Twilight is the source of the darkness in the Twilight Realm. Midna and Link journey to the Spirit's Spring where they encounter dangerous creatures that kidnap children. Wolf Link's keen sense of smell assists them in tracking children's scent to a nearby bridge and then cross into the Twilight Realm.

They enter the Forest Temple and battle Diababa and win the first Fused Shadow. Following this, Faron informs them that the next stop is Eldin Province to the west (Wii) or east (GCN).

At the Lakebed Temple in Lanayru, Midna transports Link to the fiery rock and uses her power to melt the ice at the bottom of Lake Hylia. The spirit of the recently deceased Zora Queen, Rutela, then appears and informs Link that he must visit the Lakebed Temple in order to gain access to a treasure from the Zora.

Twilight Princess allows you to ride Epona the horse from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. demo starlight princess christmas can choose the name of the horse, unlike the predetermined names of the previous games.

Midna and Link are able to recover the remaining Mirror Shards once they arrive in the Twilight Realm. The Sages reveal to Midna that she is the true ruler of the Twili. She was passed over for the monarchy, and was relegated to a power-hungry god. The Sages inform them that they can only defeat Ganondorf by bringing Ganondorf to the light and break the pact made between the Twilight kingdom and the Hyrule kingdom.
