How To Make Minecraft Always Bright On Mac & PC

How many of you want to cave and are now in a new survival realm without torches? UGH, no light. This trick can make minecraft visible in dark caves.

Minecraft must be closed during these procedures. If it isn't, it won’t work.

PC:

Step 1: Locate your minecraft directory. Go to the windows tab at the bottom left of your screen, and type in "%appdata%. After that, click ".minecraft" Step 2: Scroll down until your find the options.txt. Click on it. Step 3: Four lines down, you will find a line that says gamma: 1.0, change it to gamma: 1000.0 Step 4: Hit File then Save and you're done!

Mac:

Step 1: At the top task bar, hit Go, then hit Computer which is the 4th option from the drop down. Step 2: After that, hit the top option, which is your hard drive. Mine is called Macintosh HD Step 3: Click the bottom choice, which is Users, then click on your user. It will be the first option, and have a picture of a house on the left side. ntzsw8 Step 4: Select Library, then Application Support. Step 5 - Click on minecraft to open the folder. Step 6: Scroll down a little ways until you find the options.txt file. Step 7 Click on it. Step 6: Scroll down until you find the options.txt files. Step 7 Step 8: Change the line that reads gamma.1.0 to gamma.1000.0 Step 8: Hit Save then File, and you're done!
