How To Fix Minecraft Launcher Installer Not Working


Although Minecraft can be played on almost any device, some prefer to play it on a PC. This allows you to access both the Java and Bedrock editions. Before you can play the game, you need to make sure that the games are on your hard disk. If you are having issues getting the Minecraft Launcher installer to work, here are some suggestions to fix it.

Sign in to check the time, date, and location

If you are having issues getting the Minecraft Launcher to install, we first recommend rebooting your PC and signing out and then back into the Microsoft Store or the Xbox apps, whichever you are using to access the launcher. You can now install Minecraft Launcher through Game Pass. Sign out by clicking on the profile icon in top right corner of the window, then click on Sign Out.

Additionally, ensure that your time zone and date are being displayed correctly on your PC. If they are not, right-click the date and time in the lower right of your screen and choose Adjust date/time. Make sure that Set time automatically is turned on and Set time zone automatically is turned on. Press Sync now to sync your clock under Synchronize. Before exiting the Settings, click on Region to the left-hand of the screen.

Troubleshoot Windows Store & Update Windows

Open Settings. Go to Update and Security. Click on Troubleshooting section. Next, click on Additional troubleshooters.

Scroll to bottom and choose Windows Store Apps.

Open Settings and choose Update & Security if Windows hasn't been updated in a while. Click on Check for Update under Windows Update.

Reset the store

If the troubleshooting doesn't work, we recommend resetting your store. Click on the Search bar near the Start button. Type wsreset. Click the Run command entry, and a black box will appear. Do not do anything until you see the black box disappear and the store reopens.

Next, open Settings and select Apps. In the search bar, find the Microsoft Store. Click on it and then choose Advanced Options. Scroll down and choose to Reset. Sign in again.
