If you're seeking a pair of headphones that provide excellent active noise cancelling at an affordable price the Sony WH-CH720N headphones are an excellent option. They're a step up from their predecessor that was the 710N Wireless, with a better ANC performance and superior sound quality. The 710N Wireless is also equipped with a lighter design with a battery life of up to 35 hours.
These headphones are not for you if you expect premium features such as LDAC Bluetooth and Smart Listening that incorporates voice assistants. Also, they do not come with a carrying case or auto-pause functionality and the earcups aren't foldable, which may make them tough to carry around.
The build quality of the WH-CH720N is decent, but not as good as the aforementioned 1000XM5. The headband and earcups are made of plastic. They are light and comfortable for long periods of time however, they aren't built to withstand heavy use or even a few falls on hard surfaces. They also come with a movable case that can hold two and a half charge which is ideal for travel.
