How To Choose A Video Production Company Wisely!

Video Production

It is not a new concept to use images. We are used to seeing images all the time and don't notice how they work. How can you sort through all the information and get customers to notice you?

It is not a new idea to use video as a marketing medium. For example, think about how the music business used whiteboard explainer videos to promote artists, stylists and photographers, directors, directors, choreographers. The list of people who have benefited from using this medium is endless. MTV (Music Television), a channel dedicated to music videos, was launched in 1981. Other music channels were soon created and the artist's creativity never ceased.

Although the video is still used to promote music today it has become more popular with the advent of social media. It is amazing what social media can accomplish. While it's unlikely that you will ever have Taylor Swift's exact number of Instagram followers, she has an amazing 119 million. Her Instagram account was used for political purposes. One post had 65,000 more registrations for voters in the USA in October 2018.

Did you know:72% of people prefer to see both video or text on the same webpage when they can learn more about a product.

Animation Explainer Video:

  • Defy the Laws of Physics. Animation allows you to transcend time, size, and space.
  • High ROI (Return of Investment): The costs of making a live-action video far exceed those of animating it.
  • Proven Engagement Rates: A video-encoded email receives a 96% increase in click-throughs.
  • Reinforce your brand image: Subliminally, insert small snippets that represent your corporate identity across the entire production.
  • Everyone can create a live video with a smartphone or handheld camera. An Animation is a work of art and is immediately set apart from the competition.

The recent Coronavirus (COVID-19), events may have prompted you to take a new approach when producing your next video. Traditional exchanges of ideas and thought capital were mostly conducted in-person at conferences, trade shows, and other special events. As a result of the restrictions placed on large and even mid-sized gatherings in 2021, live streaming or video shoots with minimal footprint are becoming alternative methods to capture and share information.

Richter Studios, Chicago's video production company has developed several strategies to address the demand for live streaming and smaller production footprints.

Three ways can streaming video be made. This is the first way to stream your content live. This is where the video content is being recorded and edited as it happens. This setup requires an account with Content Delivery Network (CDN), dedicated bandwidth, and at least 6 Mbps upload speeds.

Another way is to use a hybrid approach. This means that some content was pre-broadcast (also called canned content) while the rest of the content is recorded and streamed in real-time. A live Q&A session could also be held after a product launch video has been shared. The third method is strictly canned content, which is live-streamed at a predetermined time. Although it may appear to be a live broadcast, the content is recorded and edited in advance.

When large gatherings are not advisable, it is crucial to keep your crew small and have a low production footprint. There are two ways to do this. First, rotate key team members as necessary. A private streaming portal could be an alternative where key stakeholders can view the shoot live as it unfolds. This could be done at any time, from home or at work. These two approaches, apart from feature film and broadcast commercial work, can reduce the production footprint to five people or less.

Most live streaming video productions should take place in a soundproof environment. In cases where this is not possible, consider recording content in offices with minimal foot traffic or disturbances. Recommendations include private conference rooms or discrete meeting areas.

Richter Studios has held thousands of video shoots, casting calls, and live streaming video events in their Chicago production studio.
