I'm really nosy and would love to figure out roughly how much a friend of a friend is earning on MFC. She joined last summer and has already managed to work her way up to being typically in the top dozen or so during prime evening time when there are 800-900 other models online. Often when she's on she'll be #8 or 9. Cam score in the 11000+ area. How she got up that high I don't know because from what I've seen she's not doing anything out of the ordinary. She's told me things but she's the sort where you have to take everything with a grain of salt so to speak. I thought I'd ask around and see what the truth is.

So...since camscore is based (one presumes) mostly on earnings roughly how much does a top tier model bring in?

all those usernames of high tippers of mfc must get spammed by models with friend requests, pms, and emails since they were all posted online by models who want to be tipped by them next. no privacy for the users either.

Thanks; those were the kind of numbers she was saying. She did get a sort of pre-fab website which is credited to " www.luvcamz.com / 5 BEAM MultiMedia Ltd." but when I asked if that meant working through a studio she said no.

Hi! Glad to see you over here in this thread.

I work at Streamates now, but I have worked for several other sites in the past. I worked at MFC for a few months, so I can tell you a little bit about my experience there. I should tell you upfront that I have come to deeply dislike MFC, the way it is run, and the effect it has had on the other sites I've worked for as they began changing their formats so they could compete with MFC.

When I started out on MFC, I was making good money, similar to what I make on Streamates now. I think that might have been because new models are assigned a camscore of 1000, and they are featured in the listings with a banner declaring them a "new model." This gets traffic coming into your room to begin with, and it is critical at this time to really "sell yourself." It has been my (casual) observation that the top models at MFC have attracted a fan base of members who, it appears, spend hours in their chatrooms nearly every night of the week, and do the majority of the tipping. So it is critical for a new model to spend as much time as possible online those first two weeks, because that is your "window" for beginning to create a fan base. Lots of members will come into your room for curiosity's sake, and it seemed to me that a lot of guys were trying to curry favor with me by tipping me well and giving me advice on how to make good money on the site.

I did really well my first two weeks, and was slowly but surely building up the fan base I needed. I was making good tips in free chat, and occasionally got taken into groups or privates, where the tips really add up. I even had guys who would give me their Yahoo email addresses or their phone numbers, and pay me in "offline tokens" to send them emails or call them when I was off camera. So I did build up a base of loyal members who would look for me online every night, and my camscore improved for a while at first. But once I was past the "new model" status, it seemed like those were the only guys who *ever* came into my room. Only about half of my "fans" would tip me in free chat, and they rarely took me to group or private.

I knew that toplessness in free chat, which was strictly against the rules on other sites I worked for, was encouraged on MFC, so I would put a topic up on my chat room informing members that for a 50 token tip, I would dance topless to one song. So basically, they could pay $5 (of which I made $2.50) for three and-a-half minutes of boobies. I tried other little "gimmicks" to drum up interest in my chat rooms, like topless poetry readings or topless Tarot card readings. After the three minutes was up, I would put my top back on. After a few months, things settled into a routine where the same twenty or so members came into my room every night, but new guys would pop in, see that I had clothes on, and leave immediately.

There are other ways to attract customers (and tips) on MFC. Lots of models put a topic on their chatroom that says that when their tips add up to a certain amount (like 500 or 10,000 or whatever), they will do a "special" show, like a shower show or an oil show. I tried that a couple of times, but I couldn't stand the tone of the room when I was waiting to hit my desired tip amount. First of all, I had to keep updating my room topic every time I got a tip ("Only 450 more to go for shower show"), and second, instead of being able to relax and chat, I had to keep bringing up the subject of tips, it felt very much like begging. So I got into a routine in which I relied on my "regular guys" to tip me every once in a while, and gave up on everything else. By the time I decided I was done with MFC, I was making about $10 an hour. Since I've made at least $20 an hour on any other site I worked for (and often much more), I just decided one night that I wasn't going back to MFC.

As I've said, I've come to really dislike the site, and I am very disappointed that other sites are trying to copy the "free chat" format. For instance, when I began working on ImLive, I *never* went into free video chat. I would stay in free text chat the whole time (I don't know if any other site offers this type of chat, so I'll explain. When you log on to text chat, the site puts your profile on a list of models who are available for text chatting. Hosts who are doing a "happy hour" (something else I never did, so I don't really even know what it was) or who were available for free *video* chat were listed first, but at any given time, there were only twenty or thirty hosts offering those options, so a model who was offering free text chat only could still be listed at the bottom of the first page.) So I could go away from the keyboard when I didn't have anyone in text chat, and wait to hear a ding telling me someone had come in. I became a very popular model on ImLive, (I was listed in the top twenty every pay period for about four months) so it got to the point that I could never leave the keyboard because I had so many people in my text chat. I was getting many privates, and was making money hand over fist without even having to show my face in free chat, let alone my boobies. (I had a falling out with the site owners over the heinous way they treated their models, and left the site when I was at the top of my game. I'm sure that if I had stayed, I'd have consistently been in the top ten, meaning I would have been making about $10,000 a month and $20,000 a month for the site.)

But even before I left ImLive (last October), they had started encouraging models to stay in free video chat more by offering various incentives, and soon it was necessary for me to spend all my time in vid chat in order to keep making the same amount of money. I have no idea how they are doing things there now, so I don't know if they've begun tolerating nudity in free, or have begun allowing tips, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. t seems that all the sites are rushing to lower their standards so that they can compete with MFC. So as far as I'm concerned, MFC has harmed the entire industry by allowing (and even encouraging) total nudity and even penetration in free chat. If one drops by MFC on the last night of a pay period, when the girls are upping the ante to get those last few tokens before their checks go out, one is never more than three or four clicks away from popping into a room where some model has her fist up her ass in free chat. And this on a site where the only thing that keeps minors out of free chat is the "click if you are over 18" button.

So, yes, there is lots of money to be made on MFC. The question is, will you still respect yourself in the morning?
lolacokine, I am currently a member of MFC and have been a member of SM. The format of MFC (tips, group shows, spying and private shows) allows for more fun than I have had on any other webcam site. MFC is lax in enforcing its rules allowing creativity to flourish. SM is just plain boring, prudish and overpriced now. There is more fun to be had in the wild, wild west than in civilization.

someonehasposted, I have further refined the relationship between the camscore and tokens since that thread from which UncleLewis quoted MCG. A camscore that has been roughly stable over several months with the model working regularly is about half of the average number of tokens she earns each day that she works. Because the camscore does not change on days the model does not work, you have to estimate the number of days she works to caclulate her approximate earnings. The models are paid 5 cents per token although they might have to share some of it with a studio. A camscore of 11,000 is very good allowing her to earn much money, an average of $1,100 each day she works.

I find this all fascinating. Let me say up front I'm not a tipper (never spent a cent anywhere) but then again I'm barely even a viewer. Oh, there's one girl on MFC I think seems nice and cute and funny and I may watch her for a few minutes when I catch her and I don't really care if she's just sitting there fully clothed chatting--but then again I'm not paying. Even then I'm bored quickly and go do something else. (Frankly, I can go watch real live amateur sex on cam4 for free if I feel the urge to.)

As for my friend of a friend that I was asking about, she's got our state blocked but although I have a way around that from what I've seen she's does a lot of sitting around chatting, eventually getting naked and maybe getting off with a Hitachi or occasionally a Sybian. (This is in the free cam.) So one thing that is fascinating is how she got up so high in the rankings.

The other thing is just a general observation about porn on the internet. Once upon a time the porn sites were among the few things on the www that could demand and get money for their wares. Now it seems they are being decimated by the tube sites offering so much for free (much of it free samples from the same sites that are being harmed). The last bastion was the live cam which I presume were cash cows for them at $$ / minute rates. Now that's being thrashed by the likes of MFC where so much can be seen for free and cam4 where even real live sex is free. (Yes, they've implemented a tipping system too in recent months but it's model/couple controlled.)

That Russian kid who started MFC must be making a fortune. I've seen sites where people are looking for programmers and I've seen ads where people want to duplicate the entire functionality of MFC.

I don't know if all this is an example of web vs. web 2.0 or what but it's all quite interesting.

Recently one girl asked me if I knew what were the highest tips on *MFC*s. The first name that naturally came to my mind was Mila Milan and the insane 260,000 tokens, so far the biggest.

But other girls also got huge tips. So, I decided to do a research to find out who are those luck girls. Surprisingly, I found out that many girls have got huge amounts and quickly I realized that my idea of high tip (around 5,000 10,000) is actually a normal tip for many girls. Also a surprise was the anonymous tips with high amount. Mellanny, for example, got 68,000 tokens from an anonymous member.

For those who dont know, depending on how the member buys the tokens, the price may vary from $0.08 to $0.10 per token. However, the girls always get $0.05 per token. Which means that, for example, the 260,000 tokens that Mila got, cost around $20,000 or $26,000 (depending on how the member paid for it) and she got $13,000.

These are the 20 biggest tips I found out. If you tip or have ever tipped a girl with an amount that can be included in this top 20, send me a message. But please, include a snapshot of this.

As you can see, the usual suspects appear several times with different amounts, pushing some good girls off of the top 20. A fair mention to them: Delicious00 (got 14,000 split into 4 tips), CandiedLace (12,000), AmberCutie (12,000), CuteBratxxx (11,100) and LittleJessie (11,000).

The list of girls that got 10,000 is so long that at some point I stopped considering them. Also, although 10,000 is a big tip (the member paid about $1000 and the girl gets $500), this amount is so far from the top that does not make sense to consider it.

Also, I tend to think that PLAYBOY555 is some kind of Hugh Hefner of MFC. He appears several times tipping CrazySysy and ShyTeenn. Not to mention the 1,000 tips that he gives all the time.

Do the girls deserve all these tips? This is a question that only the tippers can answer. What you consider boring, the tipper may consider a wonderful thing.

When you’re starting out as a *NEW* model on MFC, you’re going to want to understand important concepts such as Visitor Types, Tokens, Limiting PM’s, Show Types, Whiteboard, Topics, and CharlesBot .
GUESTS – (light grey) – They CAN NOT TIP – They do not have an account so their Guest number changes every time they log on – That makes them anonymous so they do not care what they say – It is best to mute the Guests right away because they tend to clutter your chat and chase tippers away!
BASICS – (lightweight blue) – They CAN NOT TIP – They do have an account so their name stays the same – I suggest letting Basics talk until your room gets busy unless they get obnoxious. They help keep the chat going and they are the future Premiums.
PREMIUMS – (BOLD in different colors) – They are the only ones that CAN TIP – But there is no guarantee that they have any tokens right now – After Premiums have purchased a certain number of tokens they are also allowed to change
