I read on the forum that while it's forbidden for a nurse to have sex with their patient, I haven't seen anything about having sex with other nurses, doctors, visitors, etc. Does it actually happen as often as it does on TV shows? Not asking whether it's wrong or not, just whether it happens.

Considering that you barely have time to even PEE, I don't see how in the world you would ever have time for sex.
It's just made-for-TV stuff. Kinda like how you see doctors on TV doing everything from chest compressions to inserting foleys to starting IV's while the nurses are only cleaning up poop or sitting at the desk answering phones.
I don't work at a hospital - yet - but something tells me that vomit and other bodily fluids aren't a turn on. Maybe that's just me?

I think an accurate answer is somewhere between "Not very often" and "almost never."
Your state should have policies that state the consequences for such actions. Take a look at them.
There was a recent case here in MN where a nurse's ex-girlfriend was housed in the same psych facility where the nurse was employed. They decided to resume their intimate relationship in the bathroom (ugh) at the facility and were caught by cleaning person.
The Mayo Clinic nurse was fired, but the State did not punish him because the relationship was established and consensual.
So from what I understand, it's okay for a nurse to have sex with a patient, as long as it's not her/his patient?

I've recently dealt with several dozen nurses. My wife was in the hospital for 16 days in February and 5 day in March. For most of that time she was heavily sedated. So I or a friend was always there to speak for her. The nurses had to deal with my wife when she was unable to take care of any personal hygiene needs. Most of us would find that work a "nuisance".
And they had to deal with me. I'm polite but I do ask a lot of questions. I do compare what's actually happening with the written orders. And on one occasion, in the middle of the night, I kept pointing out a difference in how

"Several dozen nurses" may not be a statistically significant sample of the whole population. But every single nurse I met was skilled, caring, and intelligent. If they found us a nuisance, they never gave us any hint. So, No, I don't think most nurses find their patients (or families) to be nuisances. They probably aren't angels sent directly from Heaven. But I couldn't tell the difference.

This went on for about 30 minutes. Mom would stress, I would call, the nurse would dismiss. Finally, the nurses completely stopped responding.
I was frantic. She got worse and worse. Finally, in desperation, I ran out into the hall. I quite literally grabbed the very first person I saw in “medical gear”. It was an older gentleman in a lab coat. I grabbed the front lapels of his lab coat and screamed in his face that he WOULD help my mother. I then dragged him into her room. She was unconscious at this point.
He quickly assessed her and pressed the nurse call light. When the nurse came over the intercom, the man said “This is Dr. So-and-so in room Such-and-such. Get me a crash cart NOW!”. Things got exciting! Fast!
After my mother was stabilized, the doctor turned to the nursing staff and “tore ass” on all of them. It seems that the miscellaneous medical person I had grabbed out in the hall was the CHIEF OF CARDIOLOGY at the hospital and my mother was suffering heart attack after heart attack. However, at...
