Chanel, an exotic dancer from Long Island, has taken off her clothes at offices and bachelor parties. But she drew the line when she was hired for a birthday bash at a Long Island VFW.
When the stripper, in her 20s, got there, she was surprised to learn she’d be dancing for a 15-year-old boy. The party was actually a quinceañera (a coming-of-age celebration for girls in Latin culture).
“The birthday girl had a twin brother so her mom wanted to make sure he didn’t feel left out,” Chanel, who asked to withhold her real name, told The Post. “It was so uncomfortable. There were people at the party ranging from ages 2 to 82.” She refused to dance for the birthday boy and offered to “set up a VIP area for people of age.” In the end, Chanel walked out without collecting any money. “I felt like a buzzkill, but I said, ‘This isn’t legal.’ ”
The unexpected — and often unsexy — lives of strippers came to light in May when the ARC XVI Fort Washington Senior Center in Manhattan was inadvertently involved in a police scandal. Jude Menelas, who performs as Messiah, was hired to perform at a Mother’s Day party at its elderly members’ request .
But the fun was spoiled when a photo of visiting policewomen posing with the half-naked muscle man was leaked, landing the cops in hot water and putting the kibosh on future flesh festivities at the center. Which meant that the male members — who had voted to have female strippers at their Father’s Day bash — were out of luck.
“They cut the cord on any more exotic dancers,” said Donyale Nicola, co-owner of Manhattan-based Exotic Dance Central, who booked Menelas and other male dancers for the event.
“It’s not uncommon that we’ve booked parties for older people. But it’s never been in the senior-center environment,” admitted Nicola. “I was pretty shocked myself.”
For Menelas, performing for elderly women is all in a day’s work.
“I did an 89-year-old’s birthday party,” said the Brooklyn dancer, who didn’t want to give his age. “Her daughters hired me. She told me, ‘Be careful because of my heart. I’m gonna make sure I make it one more year so I can see you again.’”
Anthony Catanzaro, a 48-year-old from Queens who dances as Antonio, has seen a lot of quirky scenarios in his 15 years of taking it off.
“I danced in a deli at 7 a.m. Friends [of a woman who worked there] wanted to surprise [her] during the morning shift,” said Catanzaro. He ordered egg whites on a bagel and pretended to gag on it to make a scene: “I scared the hell out of the girl and then surprised her [by stripping].”
Once he surprised a yoga instructor whose friends wanted to fete her before her upcoming wedding — while she was teaching a class. “I did yoga and pretended to hurt my leg,” he said. “Then I started stripping in the middle of class.”
A Long Island City dancer who goes by Patricia has dressed up as a nurse to surprise doctors and sometimes even patients.
“I’ve done parties for terminally ill people. They don’t want to finish their lives in sadness,” said the 34-year-old, who works for the Hunks & Babes agency. She recalled an 80-year-old dying of cancer who invited a group of friends to his flashy Manhattan apartment. “I think it’s beautiful,” she said. “The guy was dying but he still wanted a good end.

ULRIKA Jonnson has been spotted stripping down NAKED in the heatwave for a sexy selfie in her kitchen.
The former model took to her Instagram stories to reveal she was wearing just an apron as she cooked up a storm in the sunshine.
Ulrika, 54, showcased her age-defying figure as she posed in the mirror of her kitchen at home in the grey apron.
Revealing her side-boob and trim waist, the TV presenter held her phone in front of her face as she posed naked.
Ulrika tilted her head away from the camera as she appeared to go make-up free in the photograph, revealing her tattoos.
The mother-of-four posted the sultry photo to her Instagram stories, which she simply tagged: "Naked girls in aprons."
Ulrika went on to show off the fruits of her labour as she baked a delicious focaccia bread to enjoy in the UK heatwave.
"Focaccia with Rosemary Oil and Kalamata Olives," she captioned a second photo showing the completed dish.
Taking a third snap of the underside of the loaf of bread, she cheekily concluded her posts: "Nice bottom. Thank you."
Ulrika is no stranger to showing off her incredible figure on social media, as she recently posed braless in her bathroom mirror .
The former model shared the daring snap to mark her name day - a tradition in her native Sweden where everyone with the same name celebrates on a particular day.
She jokingly wrote: "Today is my Name Day. Today is Ulrika. 'Ulrika' means rich inheritor. I'm still waiting."
Last month, Ulrika copied Kendall Jenner and shared a snap of her sunbathing totally nude in her back garden.
Writing in her column for The Sun, Ulrika explained: "As a native Swede, WE have a very well-adjusted attitude to nudity and bodies.
"I grew up with parents who were stark b****ck naked at every given opportunity, especially in the heat of the summer because, fundamentally, that is how us humans are supposed to be.
"Our bodies should not be inhibited by clothing or trapped by beachwear. It may have something to do with the fact the Swedes are forced to spend nine months of the year in the cold, covered in multiple layers."
In May Ulrika revealed she was soaking up the sun in a white bikini .
