Probably my favorite Golden Age flick. It's sunny, hysterically funny, and Desiree Cousteau is a cutie. I hope that John Holmes washed his hands before he kneaded the Pizza dough 🍕🛹🐔
Hot & Saucy Pizza Girls is the first porn movie I’ve logged on Letterboxd, and the first 70s porno movie I’ve ever seen. I just couldn’t believe how cartoonish and silly this hardcore flick was! Sure, it features actual sex, but who was getting off to this? The Tammy Wynette-esque country music playing during every sex scene is hilarious, and the whole film delivers pure camp. The plot makes it feel like a genuine film and I found this surprisingly enjoyable to watch. 0% sexual satisfaction, but 100% camp fun.

Why yes I AM celebrating adult films being added to Letterboxd with the incomparable Hot & Saucy Pizza Girls !
It's like Thrashin' but with gorgeous gals delivering pizzas (and more!) instead of Josh Brolin. And there's a rapist dressed like a chicken causing a ruckus in town too. But that's not really something to concern yourself with.
I may have missed some things because I spent the entire film taking notes, I genuinely have a pencil resting behind my ear I put more work into this than I ever put into University. Here's what I managed to deduce about the in-universe ordering system of Country Girl Pizza:
Part 1 - Mama Mia Some parts of the ordering system are told to the audience explicitly so we can easily cross them off the list, they are as follows,
Gino delivers a 'Large Mushroom, Peppered Sausage, Head Cheese'. We later discover this entails a little oral foreplay with the customer followed by vaginal intercourse.
Shakey delivers a 'Special' that is completely indiscernible. We later discover this entails a threesome…

Needs a 4K! Have heard glowing things about this film and can safely say it delivered and lived up to the hype. It's hilarious, steamy and a classic great film that truly is a product of its time. I would have loved to see this on the big screen. It was a different time period than and can see how this could be a real crowd pleaser. I enjoyed Sex World but felt this is light-years better and deserves a 4k or HD restoration. I hope the folks at Vinegar Syndrome can make it happen because I was blown away and would love to have a slipcover version of this on blu ray or 4k. This film is only 70 minutes though unfornately, wish it was longer. I was sad when it was over to be honest but that's not a bad thing and is the sign of a quality film.
