I can’t believe how well this works! I’ve had a nice portable AC unit in an upstairs room that has limped along for years. The plastic piece never fit the window, then it cracked and we just duct taped it, it was a mess. I kept the unit on 62 and it worked constantly and the room was still uncomfortable and too warm. When I saw this, i couldn’t figure out how it could possibly work, but I didn’t want to buy another kit just like the one I’d had. For the price I was willing to give it a try. I did the job myself! It took longer to clean the window frames and windows than it did to install it! When I put the hose in and zipped it up, I thought “there’s no way hot air won’t leak around that zipper, just no way.” I turned it on, the hot air went through the hose and out the window, the plastic filled out like a sail and formed a vacumn around the collar of the hose and it was like magic! The AC unit actually works the way it’s intended now. It’s get to temperature then backs off and kind of Idles, then blows cold air again, etc. It used to just work full out all the time and never could keep up. I’m actually having to turn up the temperature some days because it’s too cold! Unbelievable. For the price point, it’s incredible. It’s only been a week since I installed it, but it’s holding up fine and I’m so happy with it so far. My windows are the kind that slide up and down, not open to the side as shown in the advertisement. They’re large. I bought the 500 cm kit.

I have pull in windows and I bought this to use with my portable ac to keep the cool air inside. This was really hard to install, I dont know if it was because of my windows, but it was hard to get everything ready. Then after installing it I could still feel some air coming back inside from the zippers, which I already knew would happen but still wanted to give it a chance. At the end I decided to just return it because I wanted to find a better option for my situation, but removing it was another issue. The adhesive removed the paint from my window frame, something to keep in mind if its your situation.

It has also stood up to some wind and rain storms. Very happy with this purchase. I have an outward opening window. It is old and was not properly painted when it was installed. I had to adjust how I attached the Velcro to the frame due to the paint issues and all the crazy little trim accents that aren't wide enough for the Velcro. But, it has worked great. There have been several bad rainstorms and only a tiny little bit of water has made it in. And that water stayed in the window opening. I did not close the window for any of the storms. I'm impressed with the ease of installation and quality so far. I've had it installed for 3 weeks now.

This is my second time purchasing from this company and they do not disappoint. Just make sure to measure your window correctly and you shouldn’t have a problem with putting and installing these into your window. Also take a note about where you want to put your Velcro, as removing it can strip the paint from your trim so you wanna do it correctly the first time. However I’ve had many a person comment on the ingenuity for the roll out windows in my area and I don’t have to suffer the summer months.

Die Fensterabdichtung von HOOMEE macht genau das, was sie verspricht. Sie dichtet das Fenster nahezu restlos ab! Wir haben es bereits mit den verschiedensten Varianten versucht unser Fenster dicht bekommen, damit wenn das Klimagerät läuft, keine warme Luft wieder in der Raum strömt. Angefangen haben wir mit dem Klemmbrett, dass bei dem Klimagerät dabei war. Fenster auf, Rollo heruntergelassen, Brett mit Abluftschlauch eingeklemmt Fertig. Jedoch strömt durch das geöffnete Fenster so viel warme Luft zurück in den Raum, dass man sich das herunterkühlen sparen kann. Unser nächster Versuch war im Baumarkt ein Brett mit einer Öffnung für den Schlauch zuschneiden zu lassen. Wir dachten, dass wir das Brett dann in das geöffnete Fenster stellen können und es dann passgenau abdichtet. Denkste. Irgendwo ist immer ein kleiner Schlitz und durch diesen drückt bzw. bläst es die warme Luft schneller rein, als das es die Klimaanlage hinausbläst. Jetzt dachten wir uns, dass wir es mit dieser Fensterabdichtung probieren wollen. Fenster wie in der Beschreibung vor dem Kauf abgemessen und die 400 cm bestellt. (Ich rate jedem die deutlich größere Größe zu wählen, wenn ihr insgesamt auf 380 cm kommt, dann bestellt nicht die 400 cm sondern gleich die größere) Hintergrund ist, dass ihr nur 3 Seiten messt. Jedoch muss an der Seite, an dem das Fenster befestigt ist auch die Abdichtung angebracht werden, weil es sonst dort wieder hineinbläst. Versand war wie bei Amazon üblich sehr kurz und zufriedenstellend. Die Montage der Abdichtung ist kinderleicht. Zuerst wird das Doppelseitige Klebeband angebracht mit dem Klettstreifen. Wir haben es entgegen der Anleitung direkt über dem Fenster (bzw. rechts daneben und unter dem Fenster) und auf dem Fenster angebracht. Funktioniert jedoch einwandfrei. Danach noch die Abdichtung anbringen, den Schlauch durch die Öffnung führen und mit einem Kabelbinder alternativ Seil zuschnüren. Schon ist es fertig. Zur Öffnung des Fensters muss nur der äußere Klettverschluss gelöst werden. Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit der Abdichtung und würden diese wieder kaufen!

Producto súper necesario si tienes un AC portátil, fácil de instalar, es importante que midas el contorno de la ventana como recomienda el fabricante ya que eso es importante para una buena instalación comprando el correcto, viene con bridas para poder apretar las cremalleras arriba y abajo de el tubo de extracción de esa manera minimizas casi al 100% las pérdidas de temperatura. Lo unico que le note es que se puso amarillento al final de verano, pero no me parece un punto negativo. Si te es útil dale al botón gracias

Le packaging et la qualité du produit Le colis reçu est sobre et simple. Il est fourni avec un guide d'installation, du velcro, l'isolant et des collier pour serrer l'isolant au besoin. 3. Installation L'isolant est très facile à installer, les éléments clés sont : 1. ajustez le velcro autour du cadre et de la fenêtre avec la fenêtre fermée afin de localiser le meilleur endroit pour le coller où il ne gênera pas l'ouverture et la fermeture 2. attachez le côté le plus grand du tissu au côté de la maison / au cadre de la fenêtre et le côté le plus court à la fenêtre elle-même. Cela fonctionnerait probablement dans l'autre sens, ce qui donnerait une finition plus soignée et une meilleure ventilation lorsque la fenêtre serait ouverte. 4. Avis final Les matériaux des produits fournis, isolant et velcro sont d'excellente qualité. On a même plusieurs mètres de velcro histoire de le retirer et en remettre pour une prochaine saison. Can be a little tricky to install, but it works!

As you can see in the photo, I have a rather annoying casement style window in my living room that opens outwards. Unfortunately I get very little cross-ventilation in my apartment, so when the outside temperatures rise above 24-25 Celsius (75F+), my flat feels like an oven (the temperature gauge on my heater thermostat shows 29C and can go up to 35C on really hot days). The remedy? A portable air conditioner! My living room is 24 feet long by 15 feet deep, so around 360 square feet in size - hence I got a 12,000 BTU rated unit as these are able to easily cool up to around 450 square feet of space. I had done a fair bit of research online and found that most people who rate these portable units poorly seem to install them incorrectly (usually by not properly sealing the window). And yes, they are a bit noisy - but let me tell you - it's worth it! Today while the temperature gauge was showing 27C in my bedroom, my living room was a chilly 20 degrees! A huge difference in feel! This window seal is a pivotal part of the equation. Know that it will fit virtually any window type (including mine, which was not listed, but which I deduced from photos and videos that I saw online), so long as you measure the perimeter correctly and order the right size! Make sure you order the closest size to the perimeter! The only tools you need to complete the installation is a pair of scissors. Follow the instructions carefully (they were pretty clear), and if you get confused, there's a video on YouTube that can be helpful (but it's not rocket science). It took me about 8 to 10 minutes to install the seal. Some thoughts: While the sticky part and Velcro strips on the seal are quite strong / top notch (I stuck mine onto the glass part of my window as the frame had locks in the way, and it sealed flawlessly), I do wish the overall fabric material of the seal was a bit thicker. The reason for this is the material is so thin that I can clearly hear the hose venting the hot air outside the window, and that just adds to the noise factor. HOOMEE - perhaps this is something you can address in a future version of the product? A thicker, more insulating 'Quiet' material? I would gladly pay more for it. But perhaps I'm nitpicking - it works, and it's worth it's weight in gold for me!
