Well we believe work hard, play hard, and don't forget to show it all off along the way.
There are many different types of fitness models on Instagram: the ballerinas, the weight lifters, the yogis, the cardio bunnies and much more. No matter which method these ladies choose to stay in shape there is one thing for certain - the can really rock a pair of yoga pants.
Nowadays, in just 12 months, a fitness model can see the figure of their followers reach into the hundreds of thousands. (The tag 'Fitspiration' has been used more than 9.5 million times). Fitness models are now turning their personal accounts into a full-time job earning three-figure sums annually.
Charlie Cottrell, head of editorial at social media agency We Are Social , told GQ , "More than 80 million images are uploaded to Instagram every day. It's also a platform where users seek constant approval through new followers and likes, so it makes sense that it has become awash with people seeking validation for their bodies and showing off their hard work."
Well we believe work hard, play hard, and don't forget to show it all off along the way.
Tammy Hembrow is one of the hottest fitness models of the moment and her 6.1 million Instagram followers prove just that. The mommy blogger and fitness guru from Queensland, Australia, shocked a lot of people when she quickly whipped herself back into incredible shape just two months after giving birth.
She posted on Instagram, "It's truly incredible what the human body can do. Every body is different and you should never compare yourself to others. But if you give your body the love, exercise, and nutrition it deserves, you will reap the rewards." Although many people accused her of photoshop - as there wasn't a single stretch mark or inch of fat on her body - but she shared her week-by-week transition to silence the haters.
Jen Selter has such an admirable derriere that every time she posts a 'butt-shot' she gains on average 5,000 new followers each time - adding to 11 million fans on Instagram. She revealed to Elle magazine, "It's so crazy. I never expected (my following) to get as high as it did" adding, "I noticed that fitness was a big thing on Instagram. So I made an account. I would post random motivated people working out because I love motivating quotes."
Soon after her account starting growing in followers, she was able to quit her $7.50 job as a gym instructor and now she's a full-time, dedicated fitness model. Selter revealed, "It's interesting to me how I build a following of fangirls and fanboys who like me, when they don't really know me. I'm one of the friendliest, nicest, people out there. I think I would gain another million if people really knew who I was."
With almost half a million followers on Instagram, Kaisa Keranen is a serious motivator and inspiration to anyone who wants to get in shape. Another bonus is she's creative and often posts unusual shots, like the one above, on her profile all the time.
She told Fresh Jess online, "Instagram has completely changed my life! It's allowed me some insane opportunities and I am just super grateful for everything that has come my way. After graduating from college I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do career wise. A friend asked me to run a boot camp for her and her colleagues and I reluctantly said yes. It took about 2 minutes in to the first boot camp for me to realize that this is what I was supposed to be doing. I absolutely LOVED everything coaching and the rest is history!"
Sisters Felicia and Diana from Sydney, Australia, are the duo who created the Instagram sensation that is 'Base Body Babes.' Their 630,000 followers follow their mantra of "nourish, nurture and love their bodies." Born only 15 months apart, they told Daily Mail Australia , "We are definitely best friends! We have been super close our entire lives and working together only seemed natural considering we spend most of our days together."
Felicia added, "For us our whole philosophy isn’t last minute quick fixes or crash diets - we never take extreme measures. It’s a process, it takes time and it starts by eating a balanced diet and then eventually the results will come." We're guessing that coming from their own awesome gene pool must help too, right?
Faya Nilsson is the woman behind Fitness on Toast - an inspirational fitness account with more than 120,000 followers online. The London-based Swedish trainer has plenty of tricks and secrets up her sleeve to keep her clients in top shape. She told Alpha Man magazine, "I am a big believer in not cutting out entire food groups and instead having a balanced, healthy and rounded approach to eating."
The great news is - she loves carbs and recommends them too! Adding, "I perform badly and don't feel good without carbs, so I have them around my training or when very active to fuel my efforts. If you do cut out a food group you're probably more likely to crave it or constantly think about it." Sounds like sweet music to our ears - pass the pizza!
With 600,000 followers on Instagram, former Australian pole vaulter Amanda Bisk is an accomplished fitness guru and her trick to a great body is to start the day off the right away. She told Pop Sugar, "I wake up at 7 a.m., throw on some workout gear and jog down to the park for a 30 minute workout. I jog home and then shower. At 8 a.m. I have two poached eggs on two slices of multi-grain toast with avocado and spinach on the side and my morning coffee."
Avocado is the secret to any awesome diet; high in protein, fiber and healthy fats, Avocados also do not contain any cholesterol or sodium, and are low in saturated fat. Another bonus is that an avocado breakfast always looks super delicious in Instagram photos.

She also revealed that even on the go she makes time for a quick workout, adding, "Often, I'll do a quick workout in my hotel room consisting of exercises for the legs, glutes, abs, and arms with my own body weight. Also, I always have a jump rope, a medicine ball I can inflate, and a band in my suitcase. It's a great kit to have for travel. If you don't have a gym at your destination, no problem!" Her boundless energy and rock-hard abs inspires her 3.5 million followers on Instagram daily.
Natalie Uhling's new class has inspired thousands of women to get into shape. Apparently being active runs in her family and her parents are her biggest inspiration as she revealed, "They are the most active people I know." Last year, she introduced a brand new class to New York City that mixes together "kickboxing, dance and toning in a 1-hour high intensity, music-blasting workout."
One blogger wrote for City Fit Girls , "I have never taken a class that made me sweat the way this did. And while it was 60 of the most intense minutes of my life (seriously, (Natalie) doesn’t waste one second), I didn’t want to stop. Not in front of her. Natalie’s energy is infectious and she makes you want to work harder than you think is physically possible."
The naturally beautiful Emily Skye has been a model since she was 11-years-old before she turned to fitness modelling later, which saw her win many Fit Body Competitions. She's now a global ambassador for Reebok and an inspiration to her 2 million followers.

She told Manic Fitness , "I look at photos of the body I want every day, and every time I feel unmotivated I look at the photos and remind myself of what I want and why I want it! If I feel like eating something naughty I look at the photos. I do allow myself some cheat meals every now and then though."
Pilates fanatic Cassey Ho takes inner-strength and flexibility to whole new levels. In 2014, she called out Target for manipulating pictures through photoshop to create a "thigh gap" on models. She told Forbes magazine, "I realize now that I am not just an instructor at a gym, but that I am a role model and leader in the fitness industry. It is my responsibility to do whatever I can to help people get healthier while feeling confident and happy in their body."
Her healthy mental attitude to exercise and happiness has grown her following over the years to a staggering 1.3 million. She added, "If a girl can look in the mirror can love what she sees while still working hard to be a better version of herself than she was yesterday, then I have accomplished my goal."

For me, having a reminder there with you actually does wonders. Most people say they never have the time to work out (and I can understand that as I sometimes struggle with my own work load), but if you have your gym bag ready at your feet, you’ll save time not having to home and not wanting to leave the house again."

In 2016, Time named her one of the 30 most influential people on the Internet, based on her powerful self-promotion through Instagram. Itsines comes from a traditional Greek family who are always on hand to keep her grounded. She told Get The Gloss , "My family always told me to stay true to myself, to be honest, to remember where I came from, to stick to my morals and to never change who I was. I don’t want for this to be about me, me, me all of the time; I just want to help people."
Personal trainer Anna Victoria got a lot of praise from her 1.3 million followers on Instagram when she posted two pictures that told two very different stories. In her first picture, she was tensing her ripped abs and stood sideways to the camera showing off an enviable figure. The second picture, she was sat down with her stomach relaxed and her belly had rolled out.
She then wrote the following caption: " I love both photos equally. Good or bad angles don't change your worth. I recently came across an article talking about how one woman stated she refuses to accept her flaws, because she doesn't see them as flaws at all. I LOVED that because it sends such a powerful message that our belly rolls, cellulite, stretch marks are nothing to apologize for, to be ashame
