Well, even if it doesn't, the fact that an official release is imminent might lure back those modders so they can patch their mods to work with this version. I doubt the architectures are much different from the JP version
they are, with the exception of mods with complicated installers because the game directory name is different. Some mods will require you change the name of the .exe to function as well.
Tell me more of these mods? How extensive are they? Perhaps a link?
You can find a few of them on Hongfire, the mods range from adding in new customization options (usually ports from other games like Final Fantasy, DOA, etc.) to plugins that changes the game's lighting system and give you new functions like letting you use a female character as your avatar (so you can play as a futa banging all the ladies).
Outside of Hongfire, the Chinese modding community (not JP, Chinese, I did not get them mixed up, I'm not from Alabama) is surprisingly robust for this game and they got some pretty cool mods as well.

There's also a Honey Select Pastebin that has a pretty extensive data base of the mods currently online, it used to have the pirated version of the game on it but the author has taken in down because of this release, so I'll post it here too:

Have fun. I'm sure that when the game comes out, most of the cosmetic mods will work fine, but the more elaborate ones that require illusion plugin architecture files may not be compatible right away.
There are hundreds of thousands of mods, they're easy to find too. This game is easier to mod than most games, because of how it's built. There's no general database that I know of, but you can find several forums and discord communities that actually keep track of a lot of mods.
Also @woodhawk109 the engine of this game is most likely not going to change. This isn't really a port since they're not changing any fundamental part of the game. All they're doing is translating it (which just requires the text in the game to be swapped out) and decensoring it (which also just requires some skins to be swapped). The engine itself is not changing, so all mods should be compatible.
This is a work around for those with Launcher issues and dealing with Launcher settings not applying. I just Downloaded Honey Select and was poking around with it. I have some experience with the Japanese version so I worked around the stubborn Launcher. Here's what I did: First I tried applying my settings in the launcher and then click Play Game, only to wait patiently as it does nothing. The fix is to bypass Launcher and click on Honey Select Unlimited_64 (Tiny Icon popped up and did nothing else) Quickly tried the 32 flavor and ditto. So, I navigated in the folder to UserData and opened setup in Notepad and noticed that all settings were set to 0. In note pad I carefully replaced the 0's with my relevant specs. I input my width and height numbers to my native resolution. Quality to 3 which I believe is max. Fullscreen to true. And display to 1. In notepad went to File, then Save as, then clicked on the down arrow on the right of save as type and selected all files. Then I pressed Save. You should now have saved your preferred settings, can skip the evil launcher and run the game from Honey Select Unlimited_64 or Honey Select Unlimited_32.
soo i did all this and still wont work. i got an error saying "data folder not found" "There should be 'Honey Select Unlimited_64_Data'

Great game, I prefer that it only includes relevant mods so I don't get overwhelmed.
This is a fun way to exercise adult themed creativity. Even better, it is a potentially a powerful tool for story telling, depending on how much the user wants to invest their time to practice using the tools provided.
