Step 1 : Clean surface, removing any dirt or debris.
Step 2 : Put on gloves. Cut off desired amount of WaterWeld, replacing unused portion back into tube for future use. Knead WaterWeld with your fingers until it becomes a uniform color and apply along the line of the crack. You can also use WaterWeld to plug any larger holes.
Step 3 : Allow WaterWeld to fully dry and cure, about an hour. WaterWeld will cure to white, and will be waterproof upon drying and curing.

A weep, a weep hole, or a weep-brick is a small opening that allows water to drain from within an assembly. Weeps are located at the bottom of the object to allow for drainage; the weep hole must be sized adequately to overcome surface tension.
Though homeowners naturally want to block pests, weep holes should not be sealed with caulk or mortar. The holes are still necessary to drain water and to ventilate the air space.
What happens when weep holes are blocked?
As the water passes through the wall, it falls down the back of the wall and, if the weep holes are open, the water passes through them back outside. If they are clogged with mortar that fell behind the wall when it was built, which is common, use a star drill.
This research demonstrated that even under truly extraordinary conditions water rarely enters the weephole and even if it does it cannot be blown high enough up in the cavity to create internal damp problems. To understand why, it’s important to look at the details of a correctly constructed cavity wall.
In concrete block or hollow masonry foundation walls, weep holes are drilled along the bottom of the wall to provide an exit path for water trapped within the wall. They are generally used in conjunction with a drainage channel or drain tiles placed around the perimeter of the floor.
Rats, mice and lizards will get in the house thru weep holes, and snakes can go ANYWHERE they can go. Usually they will end up in the attic.
Weep holes should be placed immediately above all flashing and be spaced no more than 24 in. (600 mm) on center when open head joints are used, and no more than 16 in.
Therefore, weep holes are at the bottom of brick veneer, just above the top of the foundation, and directly above the termination point of any flashing installed behind the brick. Weep holes also should be located above doors, above and below windows, and above any other openings in the brick wall.
What is weep hole in piping? A weep, a weep hole, or a weep-brick is a small opening that allows water to drain from within an assembly. In such cases the weeps may consist of a plastic, clay or metal pipe extending through the wall to a layer of porous backfill.
Can someone tell me the purpose of weep holes in teflon lined acid pipe? Weep holes vent any permeate which passes through the liner, either through liner defects or by diffusion through an intact liner (halogens tend to do this).
In addition, loose liners provide a space for gas build-up between the liner and the pipe and resulting corrosion and liner collapse. Weep holes which can be used to initially prevent this problem are readily blocked by paint, rust, and insulating materials. Weep holes can also create problems of structural corrosion of the metal pipe.
What is the purpose of weep holes in the liner?
Those weep holes are also used as “leak detection”. Once there’s a leak in the liner, material will show up at the weep hole (s). Please let us know here why this post is inappropriate.
