This week, women have been sharing pictures of themselves holding a can of coke between their boobs on social media. But WTF is the 'Hold a Coke With Your Boobs' challenge really all about?
The premise is simple (we think). Put a can (or bottle) of coke between your boobs, take a selfie and post it online with the hashtag #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge.
Err, so we have a few questions. What if you have small boobs ? What if you don't like coke? Is this just like the ultimate Coca Cola ad? Isn't this all just an excuse for people who want to show their boobs off on social media to get to do it.
Kind of. It turns out the 'challenge' was actually a joke hashtag started by members of an adult modelling agency, the Independent report s.
Gemma Jaxx and her colleague, Danny Frost, say they came up with the idea as a way of poking fun at other social media 'challenges' like the 'Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge' , and that they never intended it to be about charity.
"We never thought it would take off like it did. But it did. And then people started posting it was for charity and it was for breast cancer awareness. We had never plan [sic] on that nor thought of it.
"But since that's what people want to do it for, we said why not do something good with this. So we went with it."
Gemma was pleased that some people had used the hashtag as an opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer.
She said: "If one girl, Just one if not more, life was saved because she felt something in her breast when she did this challenge, isn't it worth it?"

MANHATTAN — It’s a so-called challenge that has gone viral.
It didn’t start out as a challenge regarding breast cancer awareness, but now some say that’s exactly what it’s doing — but top cancer awareness groups and even Coke itself want nothing to do with the campaign.
The “Hold A Coke With Your Boobs” challenge is showing up in pictures and videos on different platforms.
“I’ve seen the campaign, I’m not really sure what it’s trying to achieve quite honestly. I think it’s taking an issue like breast cancer, and in a lot of ways really trivializing it and sexualizing it,” said Jenna Glazer of the Young Survival Coalition.
Glazer serves as the chief development officer for the organization, which supports and educates young women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Glazer is a breast cancer survivor herself. She says she learned about the campaign on Facebook.
According to reports, the starters of the challenge are a model and a talent scout.
There’s a message on the challenge’s Facebook page that reads in part:
“Please challenge your friends to do it, They can ether do the challenge, donate to their favorite charity, or both. It’s up to them. Also to people who are saying this is insensitive to the women who have lost their breast. 1) keep in mind that when we started this, it had nothing to do for cancer, but that the people who were taking part in it wanted it to be.”
In a statement, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation told PIX11:
“Breast Cancer Research Foundation does not support this campaign and we do not plan on accepting any donations from this campaign. Breast cancer is a serious global health issue that impacts millions of women and men around the world and we believe that breast cancer should not be trivialized.”
A company spokesperson for Coca-Cola told PIX11: “We’re aware of the viral campaign, but we are not involved with it nor do we support it in any way.”
