DUNA Tailor was recommended to us by the staff at Green Field Villas. We took their advice and got 2 suits, 2 shirts and some silk tops made. During the first fitting we were pretty nervous as the garments were not exactly what we had envisioned. However, we did our best to explain what it is that we wanted and when we returned the next day things were looking up. After one more fitting, and a few more requests the end result was spot on! I was very happy with the suits and the silk tops turned out amazing! Lesson number one, always tel them in detail what you want. If you dont ask you won't get, and our tailor was more than happy to make the changes. We had four days in Hoi An which was more than enough to have three fittings and request a number of changes. I am wearing the suits to work everyday and they are amazing!
We were recommended this place from our hotel, Greenfield Villas because it was nearby and word of mouth travelled back from happy guests that have returned from Duna. We travelled throughout the old city first, and there are certainly many many options which can seem overwhelming. Yaly is very popular, and seems to leave customers happy as well, but Duna can do the same at a significantly lower pricepoint. I've gotten 2 custom suits in New York for a lot more money even with the GiltCity deals, and I am familiar with what to look for and how the suits come out. The thread count of the materials at Duna won't blow you away but they are quality enough. Cuong was my tailor and he is awesome. Really nice, and super professional. He knows what he's doing that is immediately clear to start and throughout. Each fitting, he fixed a little more and everything came out so good with the first that I ordered two shirts as well. The shirts came out perfect so I ordered a second suit! In the meantime, my girlfriend ended up ordering a jacket and two skirts as well once she saw mine and they came out perfectly too. The first fitting she was nervous and we asked for some adjustments which were already being recommended and by the time she came back it was exactly what we had looked for. The hospitality of Cuong and the others is great as well. We were offered cold water bottles and even on one of the fittings when we had to stay a few more minutes and were going to miss lunch before heading on a bike tour, Cuong said he would have a colleague grab two Banh mis from Ms. Phuongs and gave us a couple of Biere Larues to wash it down!! I can't recommend these guys enough. I will likely be ordering future suits by email now that they have my measurements. Great!!
Duna's staff is very friendly and meet you with a smile. They are professional and even suggest you which color to take. I've bought a suit, extra jacket and 4 shirts. Came for fitting the day after and in the evening the work was finished. The price was good, but expect them to be a bit higher than other places in town. But it's worth paying the extra few USD as quality and price is coherent in this town. Im very pleased for the work they have done for me and I will come back to buy more.
Get on the back of a motorcycle and get taken on a tour of cloth warehouses to find the exact right colour and quality fabric for your slacks/dresses or suit. Design your own trousers and have your ideas translated into the perfect fitting, well-made and beautifully finished garment. I had a ball doing all this and have the pleasure of looking good at the end. Not satisfied? No problem, they just soldier on until you are happy. Thanks Duna, for a great experience!
We had a few items made at Duna, including a suit jacket with some funky lining and style. The staff were very friendly and professional. Everything was ready in record time and we are very impressed with the final product. The tailor does a fantastic job and the prices are very reasonable. Recommend to everyone.
