Charlie Puth is turned on like a light switch and he's not afraid to let it be known.
The "Attention" singer told Bustle many of his sexual truths in an article published May 31, including the reason why he can't listen to music during sex. Charlie, who is known for being unapologetically horny on his TikTok account with over 16 million followers, said he can't vibe to music under the sheets because he will only analyze it in true Charlie fashion.
He told the outlet, "I will analyze the music playing in the background and I'll start to see the music notes in my head and I will not be able to get hard."
Aside from being horny on main, he is also known on the video sharing app for being able to identify the note of anything, portraying his full musical nerd persona for fans to love and joke about. While his attention to music may explain why he is unable to keep it up with tunes in the background, he shared that the first song he masturbated to was "This Love" by Maroon 5 .
"Now I'm good friends with Adam Levine ," Charlie said. "[I told him] and he was like, ‘That's really weird.'"
Music and sex go hand-in-hand for the 30-year-old, saying that he wants his music to get people turned on. "This is a really weird sentence," he continued, "but if you took the instrumental only of my music, I want people to almost get turned on by the frequency."
Although he is open about discussing sex, Charlie said he's actually a late bloomer and lost his virginity at 21 after performing in Boston.
"This girl came up to me and was like, ‘Can you sign my chest?' I was like, I feel like a rock star," he said. "I never saw her again. She was lovely, but it makes me sad sometimes because I wish the older version of me was like, ‘Hey, you might want to just make this like a little more memorable.'"
Now as a sex symbol (literally) on TikTok, he has gotten some much needed attention. He told Bustle that when the pandemic began, he turned to TikTok to find relief. "The internet saved my life in 2003," he said referring to his start posting music on YouTube, "and it saved my life in 2020."
Charlie's presence on TikTok doesn't go unnoticed, even by comic Sarah Schauer who tweeted , "Charlie Puth is so incredibly horny on tiktok, if someone doesn't f--k him soon I fear the worst."
The Grammy-nominated musician said he doesn't mind how people react to his content because he's just being himself and he's just happy to see people react.
"I would be more offended if somebody opens up my TikTok and they have no opinion about it, if they were indifferent," he said. "I want them to be either very angry about it or in love with it."
When he isn't showing off his sexual prowess on TikTok, he's giving fans an inside look to how he makes his music. For instance, he took fans behind-the-scenes of " Light Switch ," a song off his third studio album, Charlie .
"I was taking myself too seriously, and TikTok kind of humbled me in a way—some videos wouldn't do as well as other videos, and some songs wouldn't be received as well as some other songs," he said. "I got that information in real time. It wasn't, ‘Oh, well, I have 16 million followers so I'm great no matter what.'"

The lone cardinal indicted in the Vatican's big fraud and embezzlement trial has issued a formal protest to the court claiming the pope's prosecutors had offended his dignity by suggesting he was having sex with a co-defendant.
Cardinal Angelo Becciu, a onetime high-ranking official in the Vatican secretary of state, is the only defendant who has attended all hearings of the trial. But Becciu stayed home on Tuesday and wrote a letter to the court saying he didn't want to be present while his lawyers raised objections to the contents of a 2020 interrogation by prosecutors about his relationship with co-defendant Cecilia Marogna.
The objection was the latest made by the defense about the behavior of the pope's prosecutors during their investigation, which began in 2019 over the Vatican's 350 million euro investment in a London real estate deal. The probe has grown to include Becciu's donations of Vatican money to a charity run by his brother and his payments of Vatican money to Marogna, whom he had hired as an external security consultant to help negotiate the release of Catholic missionary hostages in Africa.
Both Becciu and Marogna have denied wrongdoing or any improper relationship.
The Vatican tribunal president threw out the prosecutors' indictments against four other suspects because they made procedural errors, though on Tuesday the four were re-indicted.
The tribunal has also repeatedly ordered prosecutors to hand over all evidence after defense attorneys complained they couldn't properly defend their clients without it. Six months into the trial, prosecutors have still held onto some evidence, turning over edited portions of videotaped interrogations and a fraction of the emails, text messages and other informational evidence that they had seized.
On Tuesday, tribunal president Giuseppe Pignatone gave prosecutors one more deadline to make the forensic copies available to the defense by Monday, after Becciu's lawyers said they had received only 16 of 255 pieces of evidence seized.
Becciu's lawyers also raised an objection to the behavior of prosecutors during a November 2020 interrogation of their prime suspect turned star witness, Monsignor Alberto Perlasca, a longtime Becciu deputy. During the session, prosecutor Alessandro Diddi pressed Perlasca about whether Becciu was having intimate relations with Marogna.
According to a transcript, Perlasca denied anything untoward. But Diddi persisted, noting that a famous Italian television comedian had done a skit suggesting that Marogna was Becciu's lover, and wondering why Becciu hadn't sued him if it were false.
According to Becciu's lawyers, Diddi's line of questioning violated the Vatican's procedural code, which forbids interrogating witnesses about the morality of others.
Diddi, for his part, defended his behavior.
I am tranquil about the work we have done," he told the court.
Pignatone set the next trial date for Feb. 18, at which point the newly re-indicted suspects would re-join the trial and the court would consider the defense objections raised to date.

A Florida man was arrested on his honeymoon after he answered an ad for a prostitute, according to a local report.
Paul Turovsky, 34, left his new bride sleeping in their hotel room in Tampa and went out to meet a prostitute he had connected with online, authorities said.
When the self-employed businessman arrived at the Hyatt Hotel, he was placed in handcuffs, caught up in a sting operation by local police to crackdown on sex trafficking.
“The only question here was, as a wedding guest, was it too late to get the gifts that they gave returned back to them,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister, adding that Turovsky was one of 176 men arrested in the sting operation.
