Dogs loved it. It is aromatic and kibbles are great size for bigger dogs. Never gave them diarrhea.

The kibble is fine and the bag weight is the same, however, it used to be a large kibble, and now it is the smaller kibble size. My dog likes it either way, but I preferred the larger kibble because they were handier to use as treats. The seller should replace the photo showing the large kibble because it is misleading.

First off, my 70 pound dog loves this food. Second, I accidentally bought the medium size kibble version and had to perform the heimlich after some got stuck and she was choking. She has never had a problem with the large size kibble so to have this large breed size food has been wonderful.

A great lower cost option for dogs allergic to poultry

Our little puppy Nova was exhibiting signs of allergies, such as chewing on her paws, rump and tail. Our vet recommended switching to a non-poultry based food, because as much as 40% of dogs can be allergic to poultry and this would be an inexpensive first step towards figuring out what was causing Nova discomfort. Up until Nova turned 1 year, she was on the Hill's large breed lamb puppy food, and we transitioned her to this adult food after she turned a year old. The food is more expensive than poultry based foods, but not drastically so, and it's readily available on Amazon and at most pet stores (unlike expensive hypoallergenic vet-only foods). Ultimately, this food seemed to help Nova a bit with her discomfort for a few months, but then she started back to chewing around February, so the vet figures the allergy is seasonal rather than diet dependent. We'll likely keep Nova on this food for a while, because we know she enjoys it and it's not terrible expensive, with a large bag usually lasting 1.5 months.

Tasty large-sized dry food bits, but not just for large adults!

If you've read any of my other reviews of Hill's Science Diet, you'll know I'm a big fan of both the dry and wet foods they offer for dogs. With five dogs in the family, ranging from giant breed (Irish Wolfhound) to tiny (miniature poodle), finding food they all like is not an issue with Science Diet. And while I buy small-kibble dry food for the poodle, he likes to eat the large-adult sized kibble, while the Wolfhound is happy with the small bite-sized mini foods. Go figure. This Chicken and Barley dry food for adult large breed is a good example. While my Wolfhound is happy with this dry food, the poodle continually grabs the larger pieces from the Wolfhound's bowl, while ignoring the smaller kibble in his bowl! Whether it's because of the taste, or he just likes larger pieces, I can't say, but I do see all five dogs happily digging into the dry food. The ingredient list is excellent, as is the added supplements, and my dogs, on Science Diet dry and wet food for years, are all healthy and happy. I attribute a lot of that to the high-quality food they eat.

smart healthy tasty product

We purchased the product to help our St Bernard. His mobility has improved and the glucosomine in the food and additinal pills has made a marked improvement in his mobility. Our other two dogs also enjoy the taste and one is medium (80 lbs), the other is small (35 lbs). We subscribe because the product is high quality and about 40% of what the vet wanted for a similar product

Great packaging. I don't write alot if reviews. My last dog didn't care for any dog food or eat much....he just picked. Always. I always keep an open menu as long as healthy. Who would want to eat the same old thing over and over? It's also good for the immune system and allergy tolerance! I ordered this for Hsnk and he payed at the box and ate the whole bowl! He usually just picks here and there! Will keep buying and update as we go. Hank I'd My new dog. 1.5 year American pitbull terrier. My last was same breed but he didn't care for it. The smell/quality/freshness seems to have improved since then. Better packaging ❤

My extremely picky dog loves it

Great price and convenience buying off Amazon considering this is the kind the vet sells. I like that they have a large breed option because it’s important to buy dog food specific to their breed and/or size. I also love that they have a non-chicken kind because a good number of dogs are allergic to chicken food/treats, like mine. My dog loves this food (she is extremely picky and I tried so many different + expensive kinds to find one she likes).
