In a shocking act of perversion a 38-year-old man hid a spy camera in a bottle of Lynx Africa shower gel to spy on a 13-year-old girl in a bathroom. Luckily the savvy teenager spotted the device and told her mum.

A pervert hid a spy camera in a bottle of Lynx Africa shower gel to spy on a 13-year-old girl in a bathroom — after filming another woman as a “practice run”. UK man Michael Magic, 38, concealed a mobile phone in the plastic container and cut a small hole in the front for the camera lens, The Sun reported. He then positioned the Africa fragrance gel bottle in a bathroom cabinet and aimed it at the shower.
But his teen target spotted the device and told her mum.
Video footage on the device clearly showed Magic planting the covert device. The warehouse worker pleaded guilty to voyeurism at Bristol crown court in the UK and was given a six-month suspended prison sentence.
Prosecutor James Haskell said the victim cannot get the memory of discovering what the offender had done out of her head. Describing how she found the device, he said: “She noticed that inside the bottle was a mobile phone.
“She looked at the mobile and she saw it had a video, which showed the defendant positioning the phone into the bottle, placing it in the bathroom cabinet and directing the camera to face towards the shower cubicle.
“The defendant had cut a rectangle in the bottle to enable the camera on the phone to view the shower cubicle.”

Magic immediately apologised after the horrified girl discovered the camera and told her mum, the court was told. He said he had done it before and said he didn’t know what had got into his head.
Magic told officers he had filmed a woman showering as a “practice run” and captured footage of the youngster on a previous occasion before he was caught. Defence lawyer Alun Williams said his client felt “deep, deep shame” and had sought help to tackle his behaviour.
Judge Julian Lambert told the peeping tom: “You developed an obsession with indecent images. That extended to recording images of a child.
“The effect of her discovering that has been severe. The harm is incalculable.”
Magic was handed a 60-day rehabilitation activity requirement, told to attend sex offender treatment and ordered to pay his victim $1651 compensation. He must register as a sex offender for five years.
Afterwards, the girl’s mother said: “I feel really, really let down by the justice system.
“I was hoping for immediate custody so he could suffer a fraction of the hardship my daughter suffered.”

DES MOINES, Wash. — A 10-year-old girl discovered a hidden camera inside of a cardboard box in the bathroom of a Des Moines library.
According to police, the incident happened at the King County Public Library.
KIRO 7 Eyewitness News spoke with Alicia Mendoza, who showed the stall of where the camera was installed.
“I went inside this same exact stall, and you see this stuff here, this was behind the toilet with a camera,” Alicia said. “And it was just videotaping right behind the toilet. I ripped it out, showed it to my mom, and showed it to the librarian, and the librarian showed it to the police.”
According to court documents, the camera was a Blackberry Curve. It was recording when a police officer found it.
The only image of Alicia that was taken was when she removed the camera from the box, said police.
Alicia’s father, Patricio Mendoza, said he thinks the library should do more to keep the bathrooms safe.
“And find out that was the thing? It was a little more sick than normal,” Mendoza said. “I would like to have some cameras and maybe have somebody go and check what’s going in the bathroom once in a while.”
Des Moines police said the incident is a very active investigation and they have no suspects.
