BET announced Thursday that “Sistas” will be the second of five projects that Tyler Perry is developing for the network. The series is described as a dramatic comedy centered on “a group of single black females from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: Why am I single?” KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von and Novi Brown will star, with Tyler Perry serving as executive producer, writer and director. Production on the series is currently underway at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, with the show slated to premiere in the fall.
