The application indeed works but some of the problems would sometimes it would just leave a bubble blank and it does have problems with the mr and ms.
You need to pay to get it to translate literally anything. Worthless extension.

the translation's font is white
sometimes the background is WHITE
so the font blends with the background and it's hard to read
is there a way to fix that?
This really works really well. I don't know if it accurate but it is usable
I use the free version. Initially it works like a charm. But then suddenly it ask to update to premium to translate. This app was supposed to be free, or am I missing something? I could give it 1 star, but I give it 2 since it worked great previously.
Sometimes free tier is slow because of high demand in that time. If there is more resource available, we will make it faster. BTW, we just launched our Android App Beta. Try it, if you are using Android :)
Edit: Nevermind my review. Turns out it was the site's problem. I retract the 2 stars review and give it 4 Stars.
The text bubbles are misaligned... Everything is off to the side or too far to the top or bottom...
I can't tell where the text boxes are supposed to correspond to on the page...
I can't even read some of the text because it's partially or completely off-screen...
I also can't edit the text because if I click anywhere on the page, it changes the page of the manga...
Even if I'm not clicking on the image... The app seems to move the hitbox of the manga page itself
whenever it's active...
It works on rawkuma sometimes but it's definitely not perfect. It works on one chapter but when I skip to the next it doesn't. I don't mind that a box forms in the speech bubbles, but the image recognition need some work. The grammar is a bit off for sure, but I think it's an awesome idea. It's painful waiting for those translations to roll in when the raws are all available. Dope idea!
It works good in Chrome, but it those not work in Brave. In Brave I can't sign in nor does it work in any websites.

This is essentially useless - translated about 10% of the pages I selected. The rest just spun on "translating - don't scroll or resize window" forever. I used up 75 of the 80 "free" premium requests that resulted in no translation. If you're going to have a preview and you want people to pay for your service, it might be a good idea to check that all of the "premium" requests succeeded otherwise I used up all my free premium requests to see a red bar with a spinning icon on it. No thanks!
The translation is good but i hope the team will add one more language to translate.I want to read some manga but they only have 3 language.Add javanese/indonesia translation.
After using it for a few weeks The translation Werent even working anymore I tried restarting my laptop and even uninstalling the app But nothing really worked, And that time when it was working The translation Were not really That accurate And some translation didnt even worked! Please fix this problem.
I thought it was going to work better after I had tried a lot of manga translators and hoped this could help. I am so disapointed. First of all, it made the web went slower and got lagged, I kinda felt annoying how it took so long to transate and didn't finish the work. Always resetting the web back to the main display when I wanted to translate the chosen manga, especially on twitter and pixiv. I had already read all the comments but nothing changes. This needs to be fixed.

Currently, we provide few quota of PREMIUM TIER service refreshed every week for non-paid users. Thanks for your comment! We will improve our translator based on it.

Good translation. Even sometimes seem to be wrong and cant catch all the text.
Works well, but don't expect a miracle. If you look at the examples, the font looks like it comes from a word processor, this is generally fairly easy for most OCR programs to recognize and while not perfect, you will still have a general idea of what's going on.
BUT... if you find a manga with heavily stylized text drawn by the artist, it's going to either fail to detect it or render some incomprehensible garbage. However, that's not the app dev's fault! That is just the limit of what OCR can do at the moment (at least for free). If the app devs somehow built a better OCR tool, I can certainly tell you it wouldn't be an app on the chrome web store.

The Idea's really good, The accuracy could be better on basic though.. I've tried to log in on google but it just keeps loading.. loading.. and loading. I'm obsessed with a certain Manga, and kinda sad because I cannot read it without translation due to no English version.
It works but the translation were not good, sometimes it think the text were korean and/or chinese even though it's japanese, even if it got the right language, the translation is not understandable.

I installed this extension on every browser, and, at first, it was working pretty well. BUT after the new update, the extension just keeps on loading and doesn't let me translate the mangas. ALL browsers have the same problem. What in the heck is going on?!
PS: Why can't I connect my Google account with this extension, even when it DOES work?

I cant get this extension to work on any manga. It loads up and the little circle goes around, but when i hit "W" it does not translate. Am i missing something? any none issue with other extension in chrome or Edge? any help would be great. Thanks.

Doesnt work, 277 error from console.
Ive got the same error after Turning on Translation.

Even feedback button does not work and produce 400 error on POST request to your server, feedback.js:31 POST https://api.ismanga.com/graphql 400

In reality, the translation isn’t that bad with Google’s new self-contextualising phrase-translation algorithm, as opposed to its old contextless word-by-word.
Click the camera icon in the translation box, bottom left:
Take a picture of your chosen speech bubble. GT will put opaque rectangles around what it recognises:
Do what the magical imp in the box tells you to do: highlight the text that you want to be translated. Then, GT will rectangle it in blue. As you can see, the highlighted text is processed as it’s highlighted. No need to wait or anything:
After you press the blue go arrow in the small translation box, you’ll get the full thing:
Honestly, not bad. There’s also a feature that translates onto the page whilst you go over it with your camera. You don’t even have to take pictures, have them rectangled, and then highlight them. But, it isn’t available for Japanese, and isn’t very good either way. Can’t win ’ em all!
If you want to read Japanese manga - or want understand key parts - without hassling and waiting for a scanlation group to even look at your request, this is it. This, or learning Japanese.
You can simply open chrome and type trans then two boxes will appear copy paste the things you need to translate and then change the language you want to trnslate in the right side boxes keep the box as it is automatic language.
Copy paste what you need to translate.The translation will be shown in the other side.
Add this two boxes to the home screen then automatically it appear anywhere the launguage is different.
