The first thing I noticed when I started playing this title in my browser was that I was in for a lengthy ride. And I’m not saying that as if it’s a bad thing. Just moments after pressing play and starting the game, I realized this wasn’t some five-minute adventure I’ll just click through to unlock a porn scene or two, jerk off, and be done with it. Instead, I was greeted with a captivating introduction dialogue between two characters that truly seemed as if the creators had put some thought into it. The game was setting me up for a big adventure, and I was all for it.
The more the dialogue progressed, the more I realized the game was taking it slow. And when a game, TV show, movie, or whatever you enjoy the most takes it slow, you know you’re going to be handsomely rewarded down the road. That’s why I welcomed this change from the usual low-effort, fast-paced porn gaming. That’s the first piece of advice I can give you, should you venture into playing this magnificent title. Give it some time. Don’t hope for a quick payoff and an average porn scene.
Instead, strap in and brace yourself for a vast world, numerous characters, an intricate plot, and engaging gameplay. That way, you’ll be invested in the game for a while, almost forgetting you’re playing a porn title. The game starts with you controlling handsome and dashing Nulkan. Nulkan is a striking lad with tanned skin and white hair who is apparently a big-shot commander of a certain army. For the sake of brevity and simplicity, I’ll try not to bother you with many different names of armies, cities, and kingdoms. You’ll get more than enough of Drascys, Ashtera, Tregor, and others once you start playing. You need to know that the characters, setpieces, and locations are really fleshed out and feel like a genuinely epic story. It’s the kind of narrative I’d probably enjoy even if Shuggerlain weren’t a porn game.
Our mighty hero, Nulkan, has a chat with guards and several other characters, establishing himself as the protagonist before things go south and his town gets attacked by an invading force. Your gaming skills and battle prowess get tested soon, but all of that doesn’t end up being enough to save the town, or your son, from their early demise. Devastated, you find an escaped sorceress, get on a road to get your revenge, and find a busty demon girl along the way, who proclaims you a new king, and that’s barely scratching the intro to this game.
No massive visual novel and roleplaying adventure would be complete without a cast of intriguing (and, in this case, incredibly sexy) characters. The number and looks of characters are all the more important when we’re talking about a porn game. After all, the more chicks there are, the more of them we get to fuck, which means more sex scenes. Now, after spending more than half an hour on Shuggerlain, I barely got into the panties of one girl, and I knew there were a bunch more lining up for my protagonist’s big cock. It’s just that, in Shuggerlain, you need to work for those sex scenes, and you actually need to play a game.
The first fuckable hottie we run into is called Dynae. She’s a cute blue-haired sorceress who escapes the opposing army, heals you, and joins you on a quest to get revenge. One of the bigger cons to many people would be precisely that slow start. There’s a lot of dialogue and reading, and while I don’t mind that, I couldn’t help but think if there was a better way to solve that.
Additionally, I’d give everything to have this game be narrated by lustful babes with sexy voices, but that would be asking too much of this title, which is supposed to be light on your memory and playable in a browser. As for the pros, there are many. In addition to everything that I’ve talked about, we also have the gameplay aspect. You see, Shuggerlain isn’t just a visual novel. It’s an RPG where you control armies and use various skills to try and defeat the enemy in turn-based combat. It takes a bit to learn, but that’s how it always is when you play a proper video game. It’s just that this one has porn as well.
Speaking of porn, the visuals are breathtaking. Every girl looks stunning. The art is top-tier, and the creativity behind some scenes and ladies is mindblowing.
