Yesterday, it came to light that popular Japanese adult entertainment service Hentai Haven has shut down. It was a surprise development that involved removal of the service’s Twitter handle and online merchandise store, as well as purge of the HH Facebook page.
The company had made the following announcement through both its social media channels and official website:

However, there is a new development on the matter.
The announcement text on the official Hentai Haven website has now been edited to reflect that the service may not be dead after all. The announcement now says Hentai Haven is teaming up with Fakku to save the service.
While there’s no more information on this collaboration at the moment, as you can see in the modified announcement, further updates on the matter are expected soon.
If you want to know more about why Hentai Haven got shut down, let me give you a straight answer: there’s nothing concrete known about it at the moment.
A lot of theories are floating around, including financial issues and legal as well as copyright problems. But all of these are rumors as of now.

Well I'm in the discord server and we're told the site will stay down and we all should stop asking about it. No joke, he basically told us to shut the fuck up and stop asking. We have been fed no info as to why it has been shut down as financial and struggle of power have been debunked many times. Doesn't help that the Facebook and Twitter have also been deleted, so there is no way anyone can ask them what's going on, let alone go to the Discord as they have disabled the ability to invite people in the Discord.

So for someone unfamiliar with hentai website rankings, is Hentai Haven considered a forerunner of Hentai websites?
They are a site where you can dl/stream hentai basically. The unfortunate part of this is that they also released subs for certain h animes. Although hentai anime as awhile has been really bad for years now, its mostly boring vanilla shit instead of the awesome stuff like taimanin asagi.

Some theories claim that they weren't making enough money and that the owners wanted to step back to focus on other projects.
