Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo) Wiki is a FANDOM TV Community.
Hell Girl ( 地獄少女 , Jigoku Shoujo ) is the title given by the Spider to the dead spirits of girls who misuse their supernatural powers. The job of a Hell Girl is to accept or refuse requests of revenge from humans who access the Hell Link . They are prohibited of using their powers in their own benefit or in humans who have not established the covenant. The covenant with a Hell Girl is formed by untying the scarlet thread from a straw doll neck.

So far, only 3 girls have accepted the title and the job of granting vengeance for those who seek it.

Ai Enma was the first Hell Girl. Main protagonist of the series, Ai and her parents were buried alive as ritual for her village's mountain god, but her spirit escaped from the grave and burned the entire village. Ai was forced to take the position of Hell Girl with her parents souls at stake. At the end of Two Mirrors , she is killed by the villagers of Lovely Hills, after refusing to condemn Takuma Kurebayashi and having her human body sent back to Earth. Ai was helped by Wanyuudou , Hone Onna , Ichimokuren and later by Kikuri and Yamawaro .

Yuzuki Mikage was the second Hell Girl. Main protagonist of Three Vessels , Yuzuki was a normal school girl who was possessed by the spirit of Ai Enma. Eventually, Ai's body was returned from Hell, but Yuzuki started to feel the presence of hatred in people's hearts. Later in the season, Yuzuki discovers that she was already dead for a long time, and the world she was living was just an illusion created by herself. She accepts the position of Hell Girl, but break the rules and is almost banished, with Ai offering herself to replace Yuzuki. Yuzuki was helped by Wanyuudou and Akie Takasugi.

Michiru Sagae is the third Hell Girl. Main protagonist of Fourth Twilight , Michiru couldn't remember who she was or how she died, but started following Ai and questioned her decisions of sending people to Hell. She eventually remembers that she was involved in an accident that turned her entire village against her and her parents, who ended up dying in a fire, but in her last moments, she burned the village and everyone on it as revenge. At first, she refuses to become Hell Girl, but eventually accepts it. Michiru is helped by Yamawaro .

Dark Energy: Hell Girl has the ability to hurl large, deadly blasts of black-colored energy. This was first demonstrated when Ai meets face-to-face with the Shibatas, having remembered her past and hatred. Yuzuki also used it in the final episode of third season.

Fire Manipulation: Hell Girl has the power to create fire, which is shown on two occasions. First, Ai used it to burn her home village down to the ground. Second, Michiru burned her home town down to the ground.

WARNING: This wiki contains heavy spoilers . Read at your own risk.

Welcome to the Jigoku Shoujo Wiki , the unofficial comprehensive source of information on the Jigoku Shoujo series that anyone can edit. Please help our wiki by creating or editing any of our articles.

The wiki has 9,877 edits to 150 articles and 981 images since its creation.

The story revolves around a girl named Ai Enma . Her existence is an urban legend known only by few, and most of these people know her instead by the name Jigoku Shoujo, the Hell Girl . She is known for the service that she is rumored to provide, which is to carry out grudges on behalf of the clients who request her service by sending the person the client holds a grudge against to hell.

The means of requesting her service has changed with time, with the latest means being a website known as the Jigoku Tsūshin , the Hell Link. Knowledge of the website's existence is an urban legend known only by few as well. It is only accessible exactly at midnight, and can usually only be seen by those who bear significantly powerful grudges. This website can be used by someone to enter and send the name of the person they have a grudge against and send it.

After a request has been sent to Ai, she has her companions investigate the client and/or the would-be victim discreetly, sometimes joining in herself in the investigation as well. The investigation is often done by supernatural means, and for various reasons, through which Ai decides whether or not to give her service to a client. If she accepts the client's request, she will approach the client and hand them a straw doll. She will then explain the terms of her service, which states that if the client wishes to continue, he or she must pull the red string tied around the neck of the straw doll. After doing so, Ai will take the person who the client sent the name of immediately to hell. However, by pulling the red string, the client agrees to the condition of her service, which states that he or she will also be sent to hell, but only after his or her natural life comes to an end.

The story of the series has a recurring theme of injustice, hatred, suffering, and revenge. Elements like violence, harsh language, trickery, blackmail, animal cruelty, torture, insanity, twisted and complex human emotions, and such are common elements of the series.

More stories to check out before you go
Please enjoy your stay in Hell, you will not be coming back.
Over the course of time, video games have taken us to lands far and wide. Through areas of the world they would otherwise never be able to see, or times future and past, as well as realms other than our own.
That's not to say that all these places are ideal, as many games taken players to places they would much rather avoid - like the sandy beaches of Normandy in 1944, or the foggy streets of Silent Hill, to name just a few.
Another of these places is Hell: an area most of humanity would certainly never like to spend their time. However, thanks to video games, we can now enjoy the endless suffering and eternal damnation trapped behind its gates.
With multiple religions and multiple sources, the depictions of Hell seen in video games can vary greatly. There's the fiery depths filled with suffering run by Satan, the frozen Helheim of Norse mythology, as well as the Underworld ruled by the Greek god, Hades. No matter the interpretation, there's no denying it's not a place you'll be booking a vacation any time soon.
Here's a game that only falls so low on the list simply because it isn't out yet. However, its premise is certainly unique - it tasks you with out drinking Satan himself to earn your place back among the living.
Unlike most games set in Hell, this isn't a dark and twisted adventure through bloody, adrenaline filled encounters. Instead, Afterparty is bright, neon and dialogue driven. It follows recently deceased friends Lila and Milo as they go from bar to bar on their way to Satan's exclusive party to challenge the Prince of Darkness to a drinking competition.
It's being made by Night School Studio, the same responsible for the acclaimed Oxenfree - another dialogue heavy game that was both bizarre and touching. Those familiar with Oxenfree will undoubtedly feel at home with the design of Afterparty, as the art style and dialogue choices look almost identical.
The game is even doing this weird thing with its own form of social media called Bicker, a play on Twitter. As you play the game you can check in real time how the demons and lost souls around you are reacting to your partying ways via in-game social media.
Afterparty is set to release in 2019, so get those livers ready.

Just a gamer with an unhealthy addiction to achievements, fantasy booking WWE events and watching 90's teen comedies.
