An abnormal heat wave in the UK could lead to a record rise in food prices, said climatologist Hannah Cloake.
According to her, heat and drought reduce yields, harm livestock production and pose risks to food security. In June, the temperature in the UK exceeded 37 degrees, and the month became the hottest on record.
