Heartwork ~Symphony Of Destruction~ , commonly referred to as Heartwork ( ハートワーク Hātowāku ? ) , is a H anime originally created by Active Software , consisting of three OVA episodes. The series is directed by Bucifer and Tomohiro Koyama as the character designer. The show has been translated into English by Asia Pimplebutt , a group that has translated numerous others in the genre.

In the past, police have discovered that a gun that was used in several murder cases had a "curse" to it, and whoever wields the said weapon is unable to hold back any wild or dangerous intentions, which usually end up with someone getting hurt. With this as the root of the story, there comes Yuu Asakura , a student at a university. One fateful day, he rushes at a train station, when he accidentally bumps into a man with a briefcase. Unintentionally, Yuu and the man swapped their briefcases (which appear fairly similar in color and design) as he runs for the train. Just as the doors behind him close, the man he bumped into earlier stood beyond the door and raised the briefcase that was supposedly his to show it to him. However it was already too late and the train has already started moving.

Soon thereafter, Yuu returns home, where in a short period of time, he discovers a gun , some money and a mysterious videotape all encased inside the briefcase that belonged to the man. Recorded inside the tape was an assassination order and some background information on the target. Yuu was also informed of a backup partner with the codename "Angel" and where she could be found. Without further thinking, Yuu unofficially takes on the job with the gun as his only weapon of choice.

Along the story, Yuu's innocence is shattered as he travels into the world of murder , sex and violence . Although the show includes a few bloody scenes, many of said crimes tend to end up with sexual abuses or activities.

From what would seem like an awesome action thriller from the first episode, the rest is utterly disappointing. After the story is set up in the first ep, they go and make up another story within that story which turns from action, to some random drama in one end, and incest in the other end. You know that picture that's posted here? You'll you never see her in that or even hold a gun. The guy cant even last for more than twenty seconds.
So if you're going for an action hentai, just watch the first episode. If you don't care for the story

then go ahead and watch all of them but the scenes are rather quick.

Heartwork's plot centers around a cursed gun who's original owner is a hitman called "The Hunter", and when anyone comes into possession of this gun, they turn down a dark path of violence and sex. I don't know if was to be on the nose with a "guns are bad" message, but that's how it comes off. Either way, it's an incredibly lame plot. You might be asking, why am I complaining about the plot of a hentai? Because the plot takes up half the hentai, and if they didn't want me to watch the plot, the plot wouldn't take up so much of the

anime.

The cops also know about this cursed gun, since it seems to pop up at so many crime scenes. Which would have been interesting if it went anywhere. On top of that, the series tries it's hand at philosophy, having narration that talks about "destiny being pre-determined" and "choosing your own path to walk". I don't know why this is part of the plot, and is so clumsily put in that I'm left wondering why it's in there at all. But unfortunately, what we're stuck with is a terribly executed plot that goes nowhere and a lot of lame sex.

Well, if you're not into the plot, is the sex worth watching? Nope. Watching the sex scenes was a chore, which is not something you want with a porn. The male character in each sex scene cums about 2 seconds after each time they start fucking, right around when they're changing sex positions. It makes me wonder if the people animating this show knew that someone can last longer than a TV commercial when having sex.

There are parts that are also way too dark in tone, and features a mix of murder, rape, and borderline incest as part of the plot. I guess someone is into it, but it's way too off putting for most people to get into.

The anime also comes with some of the most atrocious CGI that I've seen to go with it's awful 2D animation. Who the fuck thought that an entirely CGI background would be good for a hentai? It's so distracting.This came out in 1997, when unless you had cutting edge CGI, your CGI was going to be atrocious. And even a lot the best CGI from that time hasn't aged that well.

I know that the voice acting in a hentai isn't supposed to be good, but the voice acting here, both in English and Japanese, is pretty bad. The English voice actors sound like they're embarrassed to even be in the booth recording this, and are trying to whisper through their lines as quickly as possible when they're not sounding incredibly bored.

When a character comes across a gun that another character has, they sound so bored, as if they just came across paint drying. Guns are a rarity in Japan, and if I came across something that was highly illegal, I wouldn't be talking as if I was watching a grass growing competition.

Some of the characters also try to act bad ass, which comes off as hilarious considering how the voice acting comes off as hilariously dreadful. One of the male character's sisters standing out as the prime example of the so-bad-its-good some of the dialogue can come out of this, and she has only two lines.

The voice mixing, sound effects, and general sound mixing are also terrible. Music and some of the other audio just cuts off, and a lot of the sound effects are just insufferably annoying to listen to.

There is so much hentai out there that you're bound to find some goof ones by simply throwing a stone and hitting one. And I imagine picking any random one of those would probably result in a much more enjoyable experience.

Now this is a one of a kind Hentai, it has some very interesting story aspects, like about the gun that makes it's owner go crazy. HM i wouldn't want that kind of gun. Yet it does look pretty. A story full of sex, every episode is kind of different situation and some things do not make sense. But the Hentai is very good, cause it looks like one of mainstream Anime, it has a good Opening Sequence with good music as like from some Action Animes, and an Ending Sequence which more calm and deeper. really outstanding. Yet there are some flaws in the characters, like i already said, some things do not add up. For Example, the person that got brutally killed in the end of Episode 1, he is alive and very well in the Third Episode, really makes no sense. Oh yeah he is probably some immortal god, bullshit, i am meesing with you guys. Yet this Hentai is really enjoyable.
Overall a great Hentai, i recommend watching it to everyone.

While not as stable in terms of (the execution of) plot, the only other anime I can think of that's like this is "Phantom's Requiem." And Phantom's a horrible, depressing, and WEAKSAUCE animu.

Considering how it seems like the art and animation are all done on some old computer; the plot is merely a set-up for all the sex. Never mind that "cursed gun" and the sanity lost on those who possess it. DO mind the heavily-detailed genitalia in action.

This is also a good example of how "pick your path" is executed via anime. The characters talk about it... And then the endings get depressingly bloody.

The hentai anime was rather interesting and entertaining, even without focusing on its story. The story in three episodes are different to each other and I think the stories are well written and on point as it feels like a regular anime without sex scenes. However the stories could have been much better written in each episode so they could be more depth in them, but overall the stories are still good. interesting as they have decent personalities. The overall sound is great for its time and it aged well to its day. Heartwork was a fun dramatic hentai anime to watch when sex, violence, and drama mixed together to make it as thus far the best adult anime that was ever watched. If you love an anime that contains violence, drama, and sex, this one is for you. If you're here to watch it just for the sex, this one is for you too.

Heartwork: Symphony of Destruction is the anime adaptation of a VN from the same creators of Bible Black and follows 3 different routes like in Yosuga no Sora, in each episode the protagonist finds a gun and in each episode the only thing that changes is his approach towards the gun.
1 - Start a career as a hitman.
2 - Just take it to school for no reason whatsoever.
3 - Keep it in his room while his stepmother and sister are home.
All good ideas right? What can go wrong?
