ABOUT KILL PARKINSON
Around 12 million people and their families are affected by Parkinson's worldwide — and the number is rising sharply. Parkinson's has not been curable since it was first described 208 years ago, and its progression cannot yet be halted. Kill Parkinson is a non-profit, patient-led organisation based in Berlin. We're building an independent, global Parkinson's Registry where people with Parkinson's donate their experiences, therapy outcomes and life data. This knowledge is anonymised, enriched with public data sources, analysed with AI and made openly available to researchers worldwide — to improve care today, help prevent new cases, and move closer to the long-term search for a cure.
We are 100% independent. Our entire team works on a voluntary basis. Driven by patients, powered by data. After two years of groundwork, the Registry goes live as an MVP in 2026. We've carried the organisation on smaller donations since founding in 2023 — but our costs are rising month over month, and fundraising has to cover them. That's why we're looking for an experienced person to build our fundraising from the ground up and own it long-term.
We work AI-first. This is not a role for someone who occasionally opens ChatGPT — it's for someone who works with AI every day, connects tools through MCPs, and turns a small team into one that performs like a large one.
YOUR ROLE
You own fundraising at Kill Parkinson. There is hardly any established fundraising structure or strategy yet — and that is exactly the opportunity. You review what we've built and achieved so far, design the strategy, build it across every channel, and grow our income to a level that first covers our running costs and then funds the communication of our global mission. A senior role with high ownership and a direct line to the founders.
You run this work AI-first: research, grant applications, campaigns, reporting and recurring workflows all run through Claude, MCP workflows and tools like Make.com.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Run fundraising AI-first: automate donor and grant research, campaigns, reporting and recurring workflows through Claude, MCPs and Make.com
• Build and own our omni-channel fundraising strategy from the ground up
• Grow individual giving — one-time and especially recurring — and optimise the donation funnel together with our web and analytics team
• Identify grant and foundation funding and write applications (German and international programmes in health, neuroscience, open data, digital health)
• Build and steward relationships with major donors and philanthropists
• Develop corporate and institutional partnerships — always within our strict independence from the pharmaceutical industry
• Steer donor retention through our CRM (donor journeys, reporting, thank-you communication)
• Plan campaigns around key moments (e.g. World Parkinson's Day)
• Track and report fundraising KPIs, conversion and donor retention
WHAT YOU BRING
• AI-first in practice: you use Claude or similar AI daily — or you're already moving that way fast — and you're comfortable connecting tools via MCPs or APIs and automating workflows
• A proven track record of raising funds for non-profits or NGOs across several channels
• Familiarity with the German and/or EU and international funding and foundation landscape
• Confident with digital fundraising tools, donation platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus — we use it)
• Data-minded: you read funnel and conversion data and act on it
• Professional English required; German is a plus (international team)
• Interest in health, patient organisations or health-tech
• A personal connection to Parkinson's or neurodegenerative disease is a plus
• You are aware that this role is voluntary and unpaid
HOW YOU WORK
• Strategic and hands-on — you set the direction and execute yourself
• Reliable and self-directed in a remote, international volunteer team
• You can support us with around 8–10 hours per week, for at least 12 months
WHY JOIN
• Build, don't administer: you start fundraising from zero and grow it into the lifeline that carries our mission — from the very first campaign.
• Real decision-making power from day one and a direct line to the founders. You set the direction, not just the execution.
• Work AI-first like almost no NGO does: you run fundraising through Claude and MCP workflows — turning a few hours a week into the impact of a whole team.
• An engaged international team from Canada across Los Angeles and Europe to Asia — held together by conviction, not salaries.
• Every euro you raise becomes visible: in a global, patient-led Registry that helps people with Parkinson's today and makes research possible tomorrow.
Let's build something that helps millions.
Kill Parkinson — join the fight.
