Head of DevOps

We are seeking for a Head of DevOps with high expertise. The company specializes in the sphere of B2B services and products. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and mentor a team of 20 DevOps professionals including 5 team leads, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the DevOps department and ensure the team is effectively executing projects.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with the organization's goals.

• Manage and optimize the AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, RDS, ALB, EFS, and optionally ECS, to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Work with the team to continually improve the release process based on GitLab (Ultimate) CI/CD pipelines for faster and more reliable deployments.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of AWS EKS clusters and RDS instances.

• Manage the deployment and scaling of Kubernetes applications.

• Develop and maintain Helm Charts to streamline application deployment and management.

• Implement and manage ArgoCD for continuous delivery and deployment automation.

• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.

• Maximize the capabilities of Gitlab Ultimate for effective source code management and CI CD pipelines.

• Configure and maintain Sentry for error monitoring and tracking.

• Set up and manage monitoring tools such as Grafana Loki for logs, Grafana Tempo for traces, and VictoriaMetrics for metrics.

• Configure Grafana for visualization and utilize AlertManager along with Grafana OnCall for effective alerting.

• Utilize Vault for secure storage and management of sensitive data and credentials.

• Improve and develop the integration of different systems, such as Gitlab, TestOps, Jira, etc.

Obligatory: 

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a devops with cloud services, of which at least 3 years of working with Amazon is required

• More than 2 years of experience managing a team of three or more DevOps engineers;

• Deep and extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, ALB, EFS, and optionally ECS.

• Proficiency in Helm Charts for application deployment.

• AWS and Kubernetes Certification will be a big advantage;

• A commitment to staying updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in DevOps practices;

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring teams effectively.
