️ He conquered Everest using his hands

️ He conquered Everest using his hands. A first in the history of mountaineering.
On May 20, 2026, Rustam Nabiyev, a native of Ufa, became the first person to climb Everest (8,848 meters) using only his hands.
The 34-year-old man conquered the summit, taking an iconic photo with the words:
"To those who thought that life ends after the fall. "
In 2015, the day after he was sworn in at the 242nd Airborne Training Center near Omsk, a collapse occurred in the barracks. 337 servicemen were buried under multi-ton floor slabs. Rustam spent more than seven hours under the rubble. He was the last person rescued alive from the rubble. Twenty-four of his fellow soldiers died.
Rustam suffered severe injuries: he experienced clinical death twice, kidney failure, and doctors fought to save his life through more than 20 surgeries. As a result, both his legs were amputated. His future wife, Indira, did not abandon him; on the contrary, she devoted all her time to his recovery.
He prepared for his main ascent systematically, storming one peak after another: Elbrus (5,642 m), Kilimanjaro (5,895 m), Aconcagua (6,961 m), and Manaslu (8,163 m).
The ascent of Everest itself took Rustam about a month. On May 20, he made the final push, reaching the summit from the southern, Nepalese side. RIA Novosti Sport published a photo from Rustam's personal archive.
A true Hero said: "I'm going there to show that limitations are not a death sentence. So that people with disabilities see not a ceiling, but a path. So that men broken by life remember that they have a core. So that my son will one day know: his father chose not fear, but forward movement. This ascent is not a personal ambition. It is a social and human project. About fortitude. About choice. About life after the "impossible. "
I dedicate this ascent to everyone watching me now. With this act, I simply want to say one thing: as long as life glimmers within you, fight! "Fight to the end, please! It's worth it!"
