I suddenly stopped being able to load a current game or start a new game with HDT High Heels installed. A popup box appears saying that HDT High Heel: wrong dll or dll not working . Game crashes immediately or seconds after clicking OK and I try to do something - like move. In the space of 5 minutes I went from working game to crash. Didn't turn off computer. Didn't update computer. Just quit the game for a few minutes.
Reinstalling High Heels does nothing.
I use Mod Organizer and I have 3 profiles. #! to concentrate on the main quest lines, #2 just to wander around with a variety of mods installed and not worry about main quest, and #3 was recently created to test something. I kept it so I could test new mods or different configurations. My two characters in profiles 1 and 2 have many hours and saves, and seemed fairly stable. I decided to try a mod I heard about and installed it under profile #3 (SL Defeat, if that helps). I was having trouble with it so gave up and went back to one of my other profiles and loaded up a save only to get the error message again. Neither disabling nor removing SLDefeat made a difference.
I know I could start a new game with the High Heels mod, but if I have a lot of mileage in the first two profiles. I'm also not sure that this isn't something that could occur down the line with another mod.
Windows 10 - originally 7, Skyrim Legendary edition.
Different mods for the different profiles, so not sure which LOOT you might want, if it would even be helpful.
My computer has an Intel i7 Core 870 @ 2.93 ghz, 8 gigabyte RAM, 64-bit operating system, 91 gig available on hard drive, AMD graphics card: Radeon HD 6770.
have typical Game Path but Mod Oranizer is in My Games directory.  c:/users.........Documents/my games/skyrim
Even restarted my computer but that just meant Windows did an update.
I think this message is referring to SKSE itself. You could try reinstalling SKSE and make sure that you have the SKSE Memory Patch . One user in the HDT HighHeel System thread said that their SKSE.ini was configured incorrectly (DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB was too high).

Do you mean dll? You need the up-to-date HDT Physics Extension base installed as per the directions on its modpage, ie the dll needs to be in the correct folder.
You also may need to run FNIS, I'd check the high heel mod description to make sure. I'm not entirely sure if the HDT mods need it but it's good to get in the habit of checking.

Warning to everyone, do NOT download this OLD and OBSOLETE version. HDT High Heels is also obsolete as it is replaced by: RaceMenu High Heels . https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18045 HDT SMP Nexus : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30872 HDT SMP Newest with more bug fixes : https://github.com/Karonar1/hdtSMP64/releases

thanks! Does this mod cause a message box "HDT High Heel: DLL not running Not running with SKSE64?" to appear?

"HDT SMP Newest with more bug fixes: https://github.com/Karonar1/hdtSMP64/releases " i downloded it but its just some codes and files how do i use it?

I'm curious, if we can use RaceMenu High Heels in place of this, why is RMHH listed as one of the requirements of this mod? Sorry if that's a silly question, I'm new to SSE...

The problem with RaceMenu High Heels is that it depends on RaceMenu which in turn has delayed release for free users because RaceMenu for AE is behind a paid wall a few days before it's public release which also makes the game CTD if you are a free user and waiting for the public release. That's why people are searching for alternatives to RaceMenu High Heels

1.5.97 sys. It writes HDT-SMP conflict ... and if there isn't one? So how is this possible? -- Azt írja HDT-SMP conflict... és ha nincs ilyen telepítve? Akkor ez hogyan lehetséges? Itt valami hatalmas zûrzavar van... Az 1.5.80 esetében teljesen kiválóan dolgozott...

I haven't changed anything, but today this plugin started to crash with fatal error, yesterday was normal... EDIT 2020-11-29 : Refer to yeoericeric post below, from download section you just need hdtSSEHH_1_5_97 You need just these two: EDIT 2020-12-13 : I forgot to update here, and no, is not working as I thought, in fact, this mod not work anymore, now I'm using Racemenu High Heels. I just needed this because of an old outfit that requires this as master, so I just removed that outfit, in the below post I explain better.

Can confirm still get the same message today. This plugin needs an update only to the framework no other error message for the others pop up.

I am getting the errors every day as well. This only started happening when Vortex updated. Its been updated 3 times and yet every one still shows this issue. Not sure how to fix it yet because its screwing with my saves.

Having the same error; Vortex reporting fatal error and disables the mod. Game seems to run without any problem and the mod's MCM is still there. I haven't changed anything either, it just stopped working for some reason... Thanks for reporting the issue

Alright so I found out that my SKSE extender is outdated some how. I was using 2.0.17 when i needed 19. Even though all the related files that go in were the same 1.5.97 versions. No idea how that happened but i'll check if it fixes it. I found out when I hit the update button on vortex. Edit: so far no, game is still ctd on launch. Edit 2: Updated Racemenu as well it now it works and I can use old saves.

I also have the same problem and likewise reported it to GitHub. Please fix the issue witht he recent SKSE minor upgrade crashing the framework.. Namaste... Au.

To anyone who's game will CTD upon loading a gamesave, I just had that error until I updated CBBE to 1.6.1 I also am hearing that updating RaceMenu is also priority if you haven't. I'm still getting the "hdtSSEFramework.dll" plugin fatal error, but it's nice that the game doesn't CTD anymore and I hope this helps someone other than just me.

Download and install ONLY the HDT SSE High Heels 1.5.97 mod from this mod page, the other two (HDT SSE FRAMEWORK 1.5.97 and HDT SSE Physics 1.5.97) are NOT needed as they are both covered by HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) by aers which is a much more better optimized version of them both combined. *HDT Framework and HDT Physics are LE/Oldrim things according to one of the reddit post I've linked. For Skyrim SE, just use HDT-SMP by aers for the improved, more stable framework and physics. *HDT High Heels from this mod page is okay to install since it only adjusts player height and other height-related bone structure to properly fit the high heels (which is essentially a new bone that continues down the feet). Hopefully these answered your questions. I have also put down 3 reddit post links to let you know where this info come from to judge for yourself.

@ yeoericeric Yes, this is the solution, thanks! only hdtSSEHH_1_5_97 is needed

Installing only the High Heels doesn't work for me either, the MCM is broken, and interferes with other Mods' MCM. I wish they'd work together and get their stuff working in the best way possible, allowing for as much extendibility by other modders.

Yes, I forgot to correct this, the only fix is remove everything and keep just Racemenu High Heels. Actually I just needed this because of a old outfit, so I removed that outfit and the mod from this page. If you have mods that needs this mod, you need to remove the master from esp and set the ratio directly on hh shoes nif file (I mean, using outfit studio).

Thank you very much! This information needs to be pinned either at the top or front page of this mod for users in the same predicament.

Is it me or the HDT High Heels file in Oldrim (Form 43) format? I can't convert it to Form 44 in CK as CK doesn't let me to set the High Heels file as the active file.

What you have to do is untick the esm flags in sseedit, change the filetype from .esm to .esp, resave it in ck, then change the filetype and esm flags back.

It would be nice if someone did the fixes and uploaded them here.

We should not have to do this, when uploading a mod it should be the responsibility of the modder to make certain it is form 44 and not form 43 or other forms.

I can't even get hdtHighHeel.esm converted to esp to change it. I open it up in SSEEdit, remove the esm flag under the hearder, save it. In MO2 it's still listed as an esm. I try to open it in the CK (with Fixes installed) and I can't even set it as Active b/c it's still listed as esm. Don't even know what to do at this point.

Me too lol, this method above does not really work,it can only create a master file named with esp and cannot run without esm

darkmatterslayer

Go in sseedit remove esm flag hit save and make sure backup plugin is ticked, go to the backup of the plugin (in MO2 its in overwrite) and rename it ending with ".esp" , delete the .esp in the mod file and replace it with that backup you renamed, load it in sseedit again and remove the flag again and it will be ready to load into CK.

And for those who do not know how to get the file back into esm, just reverse the process that darkmatterslayer told us.

I'm looking at SSEEdit and I'm not seeing any flags nor anyway to actually change anything there. Am I looking at the wrong thing, or am I missing something? EDIT: Found the flags and turned off ESM, how do I change an esm file to esp? EDIT2: Got impatient, tried to change it manually, sorta worked, but one of the other mods didn't recognize it
