Hazelnut exports from Georgia continue to grow

Hazelnut exports from Georgia continue to grow.

In February 2026, the country sold 1.7 thousand tons of nuts for $19.3 million. This is 33% more than last year's figures, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The main markets for Georgian hazelnuts are the EU countries (Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Greece). From August 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, 9.9 thousand tons of hazelnuts were sold to these countries, followed by Syria (944 tons), Armenia (511 tons) and Russia (473 tons).
