Question posted by Bookwormz27 on 16 Sep 2013
Me and my partner had unprotected sex on the 6th of this month. The very next morning, about 8 hours after, I took plan B, but we had more sex the following three days, and he ejaculated inside me on all three days. I did not take plan B again. Later on the 12th, he ejaculated inside me again. Today, the 15th, I got my period, but its different in color (dark brown) and its one week early as well. Im not on birth control currently, and we both know fully well what the consequences of our actions could result in. Im just curious, is it possible for me to be pregnant after all of that?
Yes you could get pregnant. The Manufacturer advises that you are not covered for any sex you have once you've taken Plan B.
Your symptoms may well be due to Plan B, as it's a huge dose of artificial hormone for your body to deal with. That doesn't tell you whether or not you have conceived in the meantime, though. Also, some women have what they think are periods during pregnancy, especially in the early months.
If you are not pregnant, you won't know when you are ovulating or due a period, for a couple of months. Your cycle could be irregular. You can get bleeding but it may not be a true period (releasing the lining of the womb after ovulation). What I'm saying is, don't rely on thinking you are not ovulating, & have unprotected sex, because you may find you ovulate at an irregular point.
Its also worth mentioning that Plan B works by delaying your ovulation until the sperm leaves your body. Some think it works in other ways, but the Manufacturer does not claim that. They say it's possible, but don't go as far as to say it definitely does, because it has not been proven in tests. In that situation, you'd be better to opt for one of the other methods of emergency contraception.
The bleeding was quite heavy so I thought that it was a true period. If it was a true period, is it possible that I am pregnant?
If it was a true period, it would have happened as a result of your egg not being fertilized, & therefore you had not become pregnant.
I read somewhere that implantation bleeding is very light and if it's heavy then it can't be implantation bleeding. Am I right?
Implantation is usually light, but not always. Bleeding from Plan B can be heavy. You can also get pregnant despite heavy bleeding after Plan B. I have had cases of that on here.
I had sex on 26th may. I took plan b on 28th may. I again had sex on 3rd June. I got my periods on 5th June but I have still not gotten my second period. Is there a possibility that I might be pregnant?
I have a similar question to that. So me an my boyfriend had sex an he ejaculated inside of me. Then I took the pill like 2 hours later then we had sex again an again he ejaculated in me. Mind you this wasn’t protected sex. Could I still get pregnant or no cause it was that same night?
This should really have been posted as a new question, rather than an answer on someone else's. The Manufacturer of Plan B states that you are not covered for any episodes of unprotected sex that you have, once you have taken the Drug. Plan B works by delaying your ovulation until the sperm has left your body. If you're already ovulating, then it can't do that, & you've need one of the other methods of emergency contraception.
I took emergency pills, after one hour l had in protected sex with my partner could l get pregnant, please enlight me about that
Of course you can, its the "morning AFTER pill". Ferility returns rapidly after taking it. Don't worry about the way your period is, plan b messes with your cycle. Bleeding isnt' a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Plan B isn't meant just because you have unprotected sex. Get on birth control pills , they are far more effective and they don't mess with your body as badly. I am so glad you realize the consequences. I would just like for you to have a safer more reliable means of birth control.
I was on birth control pills for 2 years until about a month ago. They worked well... but I started having constant bleeding so I decided I wanted to switch to a different method. Unfortunately... this happened... so I ended up taking plan B after the first slip up. We knew what we were doing, and are prepared for what results from this. I was just curious to find if the chances of getting pregnant after all of that were significantly high or just modedate. I think i'll take a pregnancy after my period is gone, just so I wont have any doubts... thanks for your input!
Hi, I took the morning after pill and had unprotected sex again and again. I still havent got my period... the last time i had my period was september 10th and its now october 22. I dont know if im pregnant or not...
I saw my period on 18 -20 of May and I had unprotected sex on 16 of June and I saw my period on 18 - 20 of June. Can I be pregnant?
My girl took the pill on Monday nd we had unprotected Sex the next day ..she need to take the pill again or not
Did you end up getting pregnant ? Or do we have to take it again
What if the male sperms 3 times in one night while on birth control? Taking it on time everyday..
I had sex and the condom popped I took a plan b like 20 30 mins after and had sex after I took the plan b but I used a condom does this mess up the plan b and how long does the plan b last in your system???

Well, my boyfriend and I had sex Friday night at around 11:30 and he brought me the pill on Sunday at round 2:00 A.M I took it immediately but we made the biggest mistake and had sex again at around 3:45 A.M the same day and he finished inside me... What are the chances of me getting pregnant after nearly 2 hrs later having sex again? He finished inside me Sunday as well. I'm really worried about this...
Hi Eve, I want to your statement... "He finished inside of me" You should have the same worries if he even entered you unprotected. Sperm can be released before he actually had an orgasm. "Pulling out" or I think it was called coitus interruptus... Lol. Someone correct me please. I haven't thought of that in years ! Get on BCP so you don't have to worry every time. Or just assume every time you do it, you WILL get pregnant ! A sure fire way of taking the fun out of it ! Be safe...
Dooz; Is correct; And im glad you have an appointment to get on the right type of birth control. And I have to agree with her about the way the Plan B works, More than likely I hope all well be okay so you already know that your hormones are going to be all screwed up and you may start bleeding again. if You have not as of yet. And if you do have a regular period it may take your system a month to get back on track. When you get into the doctor or clinic let them know what has happened. Best of luck EVE. chuck1957
If you were really worried, you would stop having unprotected sex and go get yourself on some routine birth control or at the very least get condoms and spermicide! Plan B is designed to delay ovulation-that is all it does. If Plan B was going to work for you then it is likely okay however, Plan B is not as effective as routine birth control and not for covering subsequent episodes of sex. Whether or not it will work long enough to cover the same day sex is hard to say-perhaps-it also depends on where you are in your cycle. You are only supposed to use Plan B once in a cycle so I wouldnt advise taking anymore. Your best bet is to do what women did before Plan B-hope you were not in your 3-4 day fertility window and do yourself a favor and see your GYN or local clinic for routine birth control so you dont have to worry!
My appointment for birth control is coming up. It was a great mistake which is why I'm worried. This is the first time in a year of being sexually active that we made a mistake.
Also, I had my period July 25th and I was done by July 29th.
